Overturned Vehicle with Footwell Entrapment 

Hey Guys, great video. I would like to add, every time your about to manipulate the vehicle, whether to punch a hole for the struts or to hammer in the cribbing blocks, ensure that your firefighter that is with the patient is informing them that there is about to be loud knock to the car and that they may feel it move, but that its perfectly safe. Your patient is likely going to be in shock with physical injuries that you don't know about yet as they haven't been extricated. This little bit of simple communication will go a long way. Reassure them that everything they are hearing is the work you and your crew are doing to help them. If they are stuck in the car and then someone starts beating on it with the hooligan tool....that shock that is setting in will escalate compounding your problems with the rescue. Every time you make a cut or spread that results in the car frame shifting, like when you cut away the B pillar, you should be rechecking all your stabilisation. The B Pillar is a key structural point when the vehicle is in this position and while its usually fine to remove it from newer cars, older vehicles tend to have weaker connections and often rust. Be mindful of all the sharp edges that are present when you arrive on scene and any that you create during the extrication process. Otherwise this extrication technique is text book. Great video. This is awesome. This knowledge is excellent, and I think it should be made mandatory to every man kind on earth. Keep it up, guys. I personally like fire fighting and rescue services.
