I guess back then when it came out, nobody really liked the design that much until things changed over the years and now people are bringing back so much nostalgia from 1998 when the iMac G3 was released.
@@bernardfriedman532 what if he only knows how to speak Spanish? Don't be all annoyed about it, just use Google Translate. I'm not trying to hate on anyone, just remember not everyone knows English
The computers they produce now have moved on in so many different ways, but like others have said not in sound quality, that's the price you pay for slimmer products I suppose.
The design of the iMac G3 was ahead of its time. but the hardware not really.. Because of the PowerPC CPU Architecture you weren't able to run normal PC games like you can today on Intel Macs.
That mouse on the G3 iMac is not the correct one, the slot loading G3 came with the black Apple Pro Mouse M5769. The famous "puck" mouse came standard with the tray loading G3's.
What a sweet coincidence. The for posting. I own 2 fully functional iMacs. The blueberry exact model, & 2014 model with the same build as you show so cleanly- photographed and illustrated! (I took screenshots, LOL) THX again for the clean, crisp comparison!
I love the apple computers. There's things we can do with em that we can't do with a windows PC. I have a Mac Book Air and I love it. I love the photo booth too. and all the Apple sync with each other. Pictures contacts notes ect. And then we have our Apple TV. It's all great.
+lovingorca +Carlo Chim In my respective opinion, I agree and disagree. Throughout my entire childhood, I've used BOTH iMacs and Windows PCs; from old to newest. Honestly, both are great computers, but they are hard to compare. The old iMacs were Trash, but Windows XP was even worse!! Thank God, Windows improved soo much now and so did macs. To me, Mac & windows have a lot of similarities, the only difference is arrangement, hardware, design, & aesthetics. BUT I disagreed that "you can do more on a Mac". You can do more NOW on a Windows 10 PC than ever before! But then again, Macs are a lot easier to use than windows, which is why everyone loves Apple because its..... SIMPLE! Hence the simple-minded people. I used both a lot so basically, I can use any computer. In conclusion, both are great computers in different ways for different people. But I prefer Windows Computers because they are affordable, customizable, and upgradable! Windows now makes touch screen, 2-in-1back-flip laptops! Macs never made touch screen iMacs unfortunaly.
Sweats funny is I got a late 04 iBook G4 that I've only ever had to replace the battery 1 time in that still works and my early 2006 imac core duo has had 2 screen changes, power supply Change and now a dead logic board... Oh the irony.
Love the old iMac design (still on the lookout for one), but hated the mouse. Keyboard had mushy keys but still not bad, but those hockey puck mice were a terrible design. If you had even slightly large hands you had to either hit the mouse button with the top of your palm, or let the bottom of your hand hang off the mouse, hovering uncomfortably over the mousepad. Thanks for taking me back.
