Dear Mr. Peterson, Thank you so much for your highest level of professionalism within your presentation showing how to start this mower, and raise and lower the deck and starting the blades along with the ease of steering. It was 100% your video that was the turning point for my husband and I to choose a 2022 John Deere X370 over other models of John Deere mowers we were looking at. What most folks are not aware of is that if a person tries to hold up on the choke lever while starting without releasing the choke lever, the mower will not start. In which, your video shows exactly how to start the mower on the first try every time. Kudos to you for your brilliance in compiling this video.

Try getting a mulch kit; allows you to get rid of plastic side discharge cover, and does a much better job of enhancing your lawn by self fertilizing every time you mow--JD mulch kit gives you superior results.

I currently own and 1025r and a x738 that i use to work a 10 acre property but, i needed something to mow and clear snow at my 1/3 acre house. My wife is intimidated by the larger tractors and have limited storage at my house so this is perfect!
@@cardinalflyer of course they do. that way you go through belts faster and wear out the clutch and spindles sooner. That's like Ford or Chevy telling you to floor the gas pedal and then pop the clutch every time you get the green light at a traffic intersection. Would you do that? NNNNNOOOOOOO!
I love using this mower, but I have a problem. The instruction manual (and every video I've found) for our 2019 X370 refers to using the foot pedal when removing the deck which is impossible to do since our tractor doesn't have one. The instructions also refer to holding the tension rod "backwards" which seems to be impossible to do because of where it's located. I went to the dealer, but the person I spoke to had no experience with our model and couldn't help me (!?). I need to replace the blades. Can you please do a video about removing the 42" Acel deck from this model and changing the blades? Thank you.
Interesting. You may need to replace 'using the foot pedal' with 'using the hydraulic lift' for that bit. I don't know what tension rod you're referring to... perhaps to tighten the belt? Lift and rotate? I'll consider a video on that next time I take if off.
The price is somewhere in the $3,500-$4,000 range. Unlike some I see on RU-vid, I'm not trying some sort of affiliate play... just like to be helpful with information, as You-Tubers have helped me over time. While some of the big box stores sell the more consumer versions of the John Deere tractors, to get the tougher ones you'll need to find a Deere dealer. Both are excellent for what they do! By the way, sales are rare... sometimes you'll find a spring event where you can get a little off or get credits toward accessories. Some Deere dealers can be negotiated with, especially if you build a relationship over time. Some will also take trades if you have something worth their trouble... I traded in two old Deere lawn tractors and my dealer treated me fairly.
Current cost is $4099. Mine is being deliver Monday. I paid $4300 after tax along with a mulch kit and phone charger installed. Deere was offering $200 off for purchases in the month of February. Apparently it pays to be an off season buyer. Looking forward to spring!
Let's see... I've had it 4 years now, and it has kept running very nicely. There was a wear point where the deck lift rods attach to the lift arms, I fixed it with a couple of washers but just before the warranty ran out I let them replace the lift arms. I noticed that newer tractors have a slightly different design at that point which will help. I also replaced the two idler pulleys on the snow blower in warranty as they had started screaming. I've been very happy overall and the service has been excellent.
@@cardinalflyer thank you sir !! I was torn between this and the 2021 year model x350 48 inch which received a 21.5 HP Kawasaki over the 2020 model which was only a 16.5 Kawasaki. I got a cash discount for $3600 out the door and the x370 was gonna be $1000 more and for my smaller lawn I figured the x350 was plenty. I’ve used it once already and love it.
Google says 18.5, and that seems about right! If you want more they have models for that... I think the X390 is the same machine functionally with a larger transmission and wheels and 22 hp.
I have compared this model to the x390at the dealer and the only noticeable difference is the speed and the volume of the engine, with the x370 being louder.
@@RU-vidISRANBYRETARDS It was less when I bought mine in 2016. You might find lower prices locally, although I don't think Deere dealers discount much. Or may not be allowed to. @@cardinalflyer The X370 has the K57 transmission and the X380 has the K58. One of the major differences is that the K57 is a serviceable transmission and the K58 is not......it's a sealed unit. That was part of the decision making process when I bought a X370 yesterday. Thanks for posting.
@@cardinalflyer As a follow-up, the transmission fluid and filter on the K57 tranny on the X370 should be changed after 50 hours of use, and then every 200 hours after that. With the K58 tranny on the X380, it's a sealed unit. You run it until it dies.
