Animating someone eating food is a hugely tedious process that can easily be avoided by having the character just hold food without eating it or munching off-screen.

I have this headcanon that Sojourn either keeps her mind clear and collected or that she used some cybernetic implants to keep her emotions in tact

It really was a mistake to make so much of her gameplay and personality like S76's

The closest we've gotten to a cinematic tied to the lore moving forward was the havana map launching with it's cinematic

comparing one of my favourite characters to the bane of my existence feels odd but I like it

I like finding the similarities like Reinhardt helmet and the mandolorian helmet Bastion sounds and r2d2 Jedi and the omnic religion

The problem is her type of character- subtle and clever while possessing charismatic leadership- is hard to write into a game like Overwatch. That's really the primary issue most people have with her- her characteristics aren't in your face so most can't define her. She isn't overt like Cass or dramatic like Reaper. She fills a much more quiet niche where her only way to shine would be in a pve narrative and... well. A similar comparison would be 76 who was also deemed an extremely charismatic leader, but you never see any elements of that either. Even with special dialogue in his Strike Commander skin, it comes across as awkward or aloof.

Seeing as how she left her traces of what happened the night prior at the scene, it would make sense that she deducted they'd find evidence of it and trace it back to her.

It's extra sad that people want to love Overwatch. People love the characters, the lore, the world and the whole positive tone, but Blizzard fails to meet us half way.

It's very simple to understand lol. If they premiere it in game, they have you launch the game. If you have the game open, there's more chance you'll actually play, which can only be a good thing for Blizzard. It's a simple tactic. Nothing evil about it anyway. Drive people closer to your game, it just checks out.

I completely agree, although I do think Overwatch needs to stay as a game, maybe just handed off to a better and more suited company who genuinely cares about the game and not the money. My reason being that the reason we like these characters so much is partly due to the fact we know them from the game, adds a whole new layer of excitement seeing the characters we know and love actually fleshed out and animated!

I don't have time for PvP anymore, so I was waiting for OW to get PvE ... or better said, when I saw the trailer / cinematic from blizzcon back then, I hoped for a PvE game. As the story and everything else had a lot of potential. And I was so happy when they introduced OW2 with storyline. And we saw more and more ideas like skills systems and so on. Then they killed it. It would've been the most awesome thing in a long time for me. Looked so good. Now I'm waiting for the story missions. And if they don't suck, I might even buy it.
