Yes, the sonic technology was invented by his dad, but the Vishkar corporation stole the designs and recognition from him. Lucio stole the technology back and started using it to become a freedom fighter.

I would NOT put Hammond so far at good. He's what I would call "chaotic neutral". He doesn't affect the fight in any way, he was just given intelligence and wants nothing but mayhem because it makes him happy. Around the level of Roadhog really, minus the crimes

@@wingedbluj1674 the only person I’ve noticed him be genuinely mean to his Winston and I mean… Winston literally ditched him on the moon with the rocket Hammond was designing. He’s just doesn’t have much of a filter with some characters like cursing out brig when she takes away his cookie privileges.

I think Sombra should be higher up on the good list. Since she keeps talon off Baptiste’s tail and genuinely cares about sigma, with the tests they might do on him. With her ‘positive’ relationship with Cassidy I believe if talon was ever to fall, it would be Sombra’s own doing.

yeah, Sombra should be in the middle to high 'Gray'. While she does lot's of sketch stuff, many of her crimes tend to be at least in favour of poor and opressed people like in her home town.

I'll very much disagree with Lucio's inclusion in the gray area. Being a freedom fighting group against a colonial business invasion of Brazil means he is a chaotic good. He doesn't follow the laws, but all of his actions are based on the good of his people, their freedom and their well being. Not to mention all the tech he uses is actually from his father, as he didn't steal as much as 'recovered' from the group that stole it from his family.

Symmetra actually is good. She truly believes what she is doing is for the benefit of everyone, but she was groomed and is being used by Vishkar. Her heart is in the right place. Here you made it sound like she is onboard with Vishkar's crimes, when in reality she is against them and started to have her suspicions since the Brazil's incident.

Winston said that he just found them on a computer. He assumed that it was public knowledge to everyone and made the rockets as a result. So it was more of an accident really.

I like to think Zenyatta was a vigilante fighting the omnics in the shadows primarily using grapples and kicks. But then one day Zenyatta met cartamundada and he showed Zenyatta the way to enlightenment so Zenyatta floats as a sort of way to bury the past

As an OW lore nerd there was a lot of inaccuracy here, but I agree with most of the placements. I do think Lucio, Brigitte, and Orisa should be higher up and Soldier: 76 and Ana should switch places.

Hey ngl I feel like you messed up on widow and kirko. You give soilder a pass on being a good vigilante but make kirko lower for doing the exact same thing. Widow should be the very last for grey area , yeah she’s done bad things but lately her brainwashing is fading (from comics) and she’s starting to remember who she once was.

Not sure if I agree with your Hammond placement. Like, all the intel we have on him is 1: He's an arena champion, meaning he likely spent a lot of time killing and/or injuring people in exchange for fame and prices 2: He's a cocky little rodent who likes to sometimes provoke his team members (as indicated in voicelines) 3: It's possible that he has a disdain for Winston as he's got a few voicelines calling him his nemesis Like, he's the very definition of grey area. There's not evidence he cares for anyone but himself but he also doesn't want to make people miserable. I wouldn't place him above any of the former Overwatch members save for the ones who have since joined Talon.

I like the original vid better, it seems more accurate on the placements. Sorjourn seems right where she is. I would put Kiriko above Hanzo in the gray area. JQ should be in the gray area too imo. At the time of this post, Ramattra imo would be in the bad area, somewhere between Ashe and Reaper.

I personally would put sombra in the gray area because, although she's help talon with countless crimes. She doesn't nessisarily do so out of malicious intent, it's all to benefit her curiosity and to gain information. If overwatch had better tools to gaining information than talon, sombra would probably be in overwatch. Essentially she does what she does to solely benefit her, could be good or bad, she doesn't care

I think for most evil it's all a matter of perspective? I guess. -It could be Widowmaker because she killed her husband, and is a cold blooded killer, but the caveat is, she was brainwashed and experimented on, and now can't break that -It could be Reaper, but much like Widowmaker, he was experimented on, he's a little more in the wrong than Widow as he was not brainwashed really, and just decided to betray and go against Overwatch and now is mentally damaged beyond repair -It could be Doomfist, as he's not insane really, or psychopathic, but his ideals are not great, and he does it for both money and power -To me... Moira is the most "evil" character though. She willingly experiments on humans...even knowing the ramifications of her research herself. While she is a bit mentally unhinged, it's just her cold calculating want to progress humanity further...and that leads to her creating monsters, literally, in Reaper and Widowmaker. Her experiments are beyond disturbing and evil.

I already knew most of this lore. but putting it into proper perspective, blizzard actually did an amazing job with portraying how being good and evil isnt always just black and white. You have Bap who tried to join the good guys but wasnt good enough, joined whoever would accept him, got good enough to join talon and then realized they were evil As fuck and finally got to join overwatch and atone for his crimes. Then you have symetera and zarya who both dont really give a shit about the omnic crisis and just care more about protecting their homeland over everything else which leads to zaryas hatred of omnics and symetra doing tons of evil shit not even being aware that its evil cuz it inadvertently protects her homeland which she considers good. Then you got sigma and kiriku who dont give a DAM about the war and just wanna protect what’s important to them (in sigmas case to the point it drives him crazy and now he works for bad guys and doesnt know)

Don't wanna seem like a prick, but the "cryo" in "cryosleep" is actually pronounced "cry-oh". I also always felt that Tracer's device should be called a "chronal stabalizer" rather than "chronal accelerator" since she'd otherwise be lost in time randomly, not lost in the past because of time moving slow for her, which is what you would assume when they call it an accelerator. Also, Lucio is a "thief" in that the company Symetra works for stole his father's life's work and so Lucio stole it back. I don't know about you, but I personally don't consider stealing back your family's own work from a megacorporation to be an evil act.

From all the backstory and voicelines from her I can't really agree with this. Maybe she was planned to be gray but what she actually is seems like a truly evil person to me. I don't think she even has good intentions in mind with her experiments and just wants to do them just for the sake of it no matter who she harms.
