As much as Ashe throws Bob around, she has genuine love and respect for him. You can hear in her voice she was ready to gut Ramattra for going after Bob.
@@d00mnoodle62 You sure? I coach gun away from his Nemesis and just 3 shot him in the head as Ashe once he is out of it- (if no supports both sides)... He is quite... vulnerable alone.
Ashe can't take care of herself and fight her own fights. Of course, she needs her slave butler. Ramattra has right to be mad because BOB was just a slave who couldn't really think for himself but do what Ashe says. BOB also couldn't speak for himself because he's probably prohibited from talking back. No free will, no free thought, no free speech.
@@drunkenqueen3077Wdym BoB is willingly a butler all omnics have free thought and will? Also ramattra is a hypocrite its shown in the PVE mode that he is literally forcefully kidnapping Omnics and then indoctrinates them by putting a device in there head he has no right to criticize ashe LMAO Ironic how the omnic freedom fighter is turning his own people into slaves basically
@drunkenqueen3077 that ain't it. Bob is basically Ash's only family. He's the only one who was there for her throughout her childhood, and he's still with her today. If Ramattra tries to steal him away from her, she might get not so defenseless, as you put it
Makes me wonder if Ramattra can rewrite the code so to speak in Omnics and robots to get them to his side. Because Bob would never leave Ashe willingly, they're like family.
One thing I appreciate about the recent voice lines is how they're starting to flesh out Sojourn. Her personality is a lot more down to earth/realistic then the rest of the cast, and now that she's interacting more it's a lot more noticable. Especially when interacting with characters who are especially out there. When she first came out it felt like she was lacking as a character in comparison to Kiri and Junkerqueen but I feel I have a better understanding of her personality now and it definitely has its place with the rest of the cast.
Maybe after reuniting with her old friends (plus meeting new comers), she seems to be more light-hearted. Like OW2 Pharah seems to be more happier, probably due to her dreams were fulfilled (joining the newly formed Overwatch).
I strongly recommend Sojourn's novel, it does a great job fleshing her out and actually makes a lot of her previously "bland" dialogue make much more sense. She's a character stuck in a commanding position that has to be the straight voice of reason and logic, but also has anxieties about calculated precision overriding her sense of empathy and emotion (in the times where she does, it costs her immensely). I used to also find her really boring, but I now get more of the sense that she’s purposefully meant to be "low on quirks", a respectable straight man to a very colorful and eclectic cast, and that’s perfectly fine.
@@Number9Roboticcouldn’t have said it better myself. Her novel and what actually happened to the original overwatch explains her strict closed off mannerisms perfectly. She doesn’t want to lose anyone else
i love how friendly yet confident Zarya is; they really did the quieter characters justice by giving them _more_ personality but Zarya especially seems like she had a glow-up, she actually seems approachable and fun to talk to, yet able to stand up against people like Ramattra
@@drunkenqueen3077 it goes to show how talented the voice actors/actresses are for this game, everything just feels. right. in how the lines are written / spoken if that makes sense
The game and studio might be mid.. but the heroes and lore carry the game! and the VA's only add to that with their passion and dedication to the roles
"Ana, your daughter is more than capable of taking care of herself... she had to after you chose to let her and her father think you were dead for many years."
Tbh I don't like what they've done to Reaper. Even some of his ones where he talks to himself. They've pretty much turned him from a cold villain to the old "edgy and cool teenager". It's like they just gave up on him and that cold villain side was all he had making him his character. Cinematics and comics definitely aren't doing him much justice. For a guy that is a killer without mercy, we definitely don't see much to prove that.
Its interesting to see dva, zarya, lucio, baptist, etc become actual members of overwatch. I always saw them as people who had no connection to overwatch but seeing it confirmed that they are a part of the team is nice.
as far as i remember, they weren't always part of the team. they were off doing their own things, but after the omnic attack we see in paris in the zero hour cinematic, cassidy goes and recruits dva, zar, bap, etc. in the New Blood comic. Before that, they were separate from Overwatch@@krystaliteV7
Especially considering Genji confirmed he didn’t talk to his old Blackwatch teammates during Storm Rising. It’s sweet to know he’s close to Cass now, going as far as calling him a brother.
Junkrat: "Roadhog, mate! I found us some boxes with trinkets inside of 'em! What do you want? I'm taking this stick and flint!" Roadhog: *_"Pachimari."_* Junkrat: "Ooh and a bit of these stones, some of this, that this and this too and--wowie, this beaut will burn like a charm! Thanks, Roadhog!" Roadhog: *_Drop the pachimari."_* Junkrat: "Eeuh uhhh- sure!"
Basically he used to be a farmer who joined the resistance during the omnic crysis. During the war he got affected by the radiation after a nuclear explosion and began working as a bodyguard and assassin in junkertown until he got kicked out by the queen along junkrat.
@@josewolf9884 Everybody knows that! I want to know more abut his life as a farmer. I also want to know about his life before he came to Australia which its implied he was born and raised in New Zealand.
@@josewolf9884 Wrong. He was one of the farmers who got forced out of his land by the Australian government because the government decided to gift the omnics with lands and omniums in order to establish peace with the omnics after the crisis. Then, the farmers (including Hog) were angry by the government's decision and formed an armed group (Australian Liberation Front), they attacked the omnic population. The humans sabotaged the fusion core of the omnium that caused the massive explosive which turned the outback into the wasteland.
What we know about Roadhog is he used to live in the Australian Outback before the Omnic Crisis. After the crisis, the Australian government gave the outback to the Omnics as a form of reconciliation. This meant displacing everyone who lived there, including Mako Rutledge (Roadhog's real name). The displaced people grew very angry with both the Omnics and the Government and formed the Australian Liberation Front, and began fighting both the Omnics and the Australian Government to take back their land. This ended when the ALF sabotaged the Australian Omnium's central reactor, which went Nuclear and detonated. All of Australia became an irradiated wasteland, but the survivors joined together. They took whatever junk was left over, and built their own society: Junkertown. Roadhog lived a quiet life just outside of Junkertown, occasionally making some trouble. Then one day, he met Junkrat, who agreed to share 50% of his treasure in exchange for Roadhog being his bodyguard. The two caused some more trouble, got kicked out of Junkertown, and went on a worldwide crime spree.
@@koto2211 spanish is my 6th language, for me cute and sweet are almost the same. You're absolutely right about what you said but it still has a similar meaning.
As much flack as Blizzard gets for the game decisions. I show full respect for the Voice Acting crew. Being able to just have these fun interactions and really bring out more of their characters. Even if I grow distant from a game I can't help but respect the passion of good voice acting and character interactions.
I think illari is the first hero in the story that has zero connections with any other character. I don't mind that. It shows how big the world is and it gives them freedom when they make future heroes
In fact, there is a small connection. On the map of Antarctica you can see a post over Peru. Could it be that Mei's team received logistical support from the children of the sun? If so, we already know why the relationship ended...
@@ShakeMilkyWay1Zarya story was almost nothing until Sombra dropped so that's not difficult. It'd be better to say her connection was Sombra. Lucio was connected to Symmetra from the beginning since he technically stole from her to be the character we have. Although, yes Dva didn't have any connections. She only had her team and none of those are playable yet so yeah.
@@wrestlenet2406 the true but I just thought it was funny. Because if she got him a normal sized bottle then it might not sound like a big deal but I was just thinking of her gettin him a gallon sized one since he's so big.
Illary calls Winston a monkey Winston: Actually I'm a gorilla and a scientist Reaper calls Winston a monkey Winston: You're about to have so many broken bones you didn't know you had
yeah, they're canonically friends. And by that, i mean true friends, not manipulated people into a weird abusive friendship lik what happened to Katya Volfskaya. She actually gave him info about Mercy's location at the end of the "what you left behind" short story if i remember correctly.
Some of these really emphasize how the characters work as a team, not just cross paths. Soujourn giving advice to Mei, Zarya talking about liftng with a teammate after the mission, Genji and Cassidy's reflection on missions and how they differ. Also, D Va. Please. GET SOME SLEEP.
Also, even (or perhaps especially) when a country is acting unjust, it’s important to elevate figures of justice that represent what Russia or any other country should strive to be
The reinhardt and dva interaction reminds me of their interactions in overwatch one where reinhardt asks for an autograph from dva and dva is reminded of Busan when she is in Eichenwald but Reinhart assures her that if things get destroyed as long as the people are strong they can always be rebuilt.
I LOVE how much story and worldbuilding they’re putting in now with all these interactions and the recent shorts. I only wish we could’ve gotten here sooner
@@VaguelyRowlet I know they have mechas, I meant in game if they ever join, or at least one of them joins for it to rather have a mechanical suit like genji cause Dav already has a op mecha (and annoying as well)
Dmon and Overlord (I think that's his name. I forget lol) were supposedly leaked a while back to be playable to the point people thought Overlord was going to be our "cute" hero. Which ended up being Lifeweaver instead. I guess some people can see him that way... That being said, not all leaks are accurate and even if they were accurate leaks, there's no way of knowing if changes were made where those ideas were scrapped. It'd be a shame if they were.
@alexaviercomics4241 they all have mechs, but ganeplay wise they dont all have to work like D Va. For example, Wrecking Ball pilot a mech but he doesnt get a baby D Va ability. I think 2 of D Va's yeam coild work as lower health mecha suits that are DPS. But ideally id like it so you could play a whole MEKA team in comp
My only issue with illari is how... sad she is about everything, like I know her backstory, but she doesn't really feel like a character about the sun, but more like... overcast
These hero interaction- videos of yours are great, keep up the good work whenever we get new interactions, you make them very easy to listen to in one sitting
Overwatch and Blizzard may have gone downhill ... but the Characters are as great as ever! I'd love to see maybe an animated HBO style series in the style of their shorts about the lore of Overwatch and it's heroes
Man, hearing the interactions between two tanks makes me lowkey kinda sad, since a fairly large majority won’t ever hear those interactions in 5v5/role queue (I still believe that they should’ve left 6v6 as at least an arcade mode, as a sort of homage to overwatch’s past)
So with the Bastion interactions... Can some of them actually understand what he is saying somehow or do they just go off of the pattern of his bleeps to assume what he is trying to express? like rapid high pitched beeping is concern/fear while lower pitched and more collected beeping is like a question or something, it has always intrigued me because Torb responds as if it were a normal conversation like he understands everything while others like Junkrat are just confused because it sounds like just random noises to them
i think it's like droids in starwars. you can learn to understand them to some extent, but if you don't, you can at least somewhat guess what bastion wants
I love how they made Sym more autistic coded. Her reacting strongly to Winston's shampoo is so relatable as an autistic person, I'm glad they put this in. And yes I'm aware Sym is canonically autistic :>
and her noting that it was artificial also fits, because i know me and other autistic folks i know are especially triggered by strong artificial scents
@@emperium108 Junkrat is one of the most wanted criminalist in the world and he has a line "overwatch, you will never get me alive" or something like that. He, Roadhog and Junkerqueen will never be in Overwatch and probably they won't have any important role in storymode.
@@artis2075 his most recent lines seem to point him ending up becoming cosier with Overwatch. If any "villian" is likely to turn into a good guy. Its him. I would also point out one of OW most important members use to be a wanted criminal *point at the cowboy*.
0:35 I don't know how intentional it was, but this could mean that Symmetra has some sensory avoidant tendencies, at least with smell; I wonder if she stims.🤔
That Torb interaction about Lúcio… I can’t tell if it’s a compliment or insult. If it’s an insult, I want Torb to try and look Lú in the eyes and tell him.
