Had this happen yesterday, spent an entire comp match 1v1ing the enemy Lucio for dominance while out teams struggled immensely. 10/10 would throw again
Even though im usually a dps I was glad to have this experience with a lucio, he was defense and I was attack the first time. he won the first. Then we switched, and I won the second. We just had this mutual bond between our duels while our teams are just doing comp shenanigans and we were chilling, probably laughing our asses off throughout the fight. We ended with a draw 1-1 so I guess we had our fair share of victories
Honestly lucio 1v1s should just decide the entire match. The winning lucio gets the win and the other team simply weeps It would probably still take 30 minutes to decide (Also the fact Eskay nearly matched the reins damage in a lucio 1v1 is the best part of this)
my favorite part about watching these, is the fact you can have fun and mess around while playing ranked, the ironic part is I would literally despise this on my team

I remember having a 1v1 with a Lucio on Route 66 in the sky box cause I saw someone else doing it. The enemy team swapped to Lucio and joined me in the sky box. My team was getting upset with me but I was having such a good time that I had to remind myself that I'd rather have fun than win. Plus, it was Quickplay in around mid Gold. No real lose lmao Definitely recommend caving into the Lucio 1v1's. Especially if you're playing with you buddies who keep blaming you for them losing. Then you hit them with the "it was a 4v4 and you guys lost. What can I say?" Lol
That is a valid point you raised after the end of the first round. They did lose a 4v4 and they could’ve swapped off to characters that could do well in a 4v4 situation. My only issue is why queue for a 5v5 mode to just go off and essentially just play 1v1’s? You could go to a 1v1 mode or hell, even make your own lobby and accept Lucio 1v1’s. I just don’t see what you’d get out of doing that instead of queuing for 5v5? I’m not trying to flame you, just trying to understand the logic there.
It was fun that's it. Also she didn't make that point fully seriously. If the team were perfect mirrors it would make sense, but different teams may need Lucio to different degrees
yeah this looks about right, i found dueling an enemy lucio usually pointless if they at decently good with lucio aswell. i remember having a 6 min duel with a lucio before we just both gave up and had a music battle instead
