And that’s EXACTLY what the devs want. In a dev blog a couple months back they said themselves that they want counter-picking to be a part of the game. I cannot stress enough, the devs like this rock-paper-scissors “style”

​@@Thirstylion314 was gonna say sun similar cause this isn't exactly the game you play whatever character you want cause they're fun to you. when metas exist and always will in a competitive game, e.g. the damn horse always being the crutch pick cause no critical damage is uh very nice. Plus overwatch is one of the very few games that allow changing to almost any character during gameplay without losing the plot too much.

Same here, if I play any other tank I just get counter swapped and end up having to mirror the other teams orisa, such a boring playstyle

I wouldn't say she's broken, she's honestly the opposite. All the other tanks are far less easier to play than Orissa or are in such weak spots that Orisa and Sig look like the only two playable tanks till they finally fix what they want to fix about tank lol

@@williamjensen5683 tbh with you i find orisa fun to play, my favourite tank to be fair. Game would be better for you as this is your opinion. Sure, Orisa can be a pain to verse, but so is every other hero when in the right hands.

I wouldn’t say you don’t have to use strategy with them; if anything, Mauga and Hog are some of the easiest tanks to kill once they overextend/get separated from the rest of their team. Although I personally enjoy all three of them (Hog not quite so much), seeing a Mauga or Hog on the other team really doesn’t worry me at all because I know that as soon as they get greedy and charge too far ahead my team’s going to melt them in seconds. Poor use of abilities or even simple bad positioning will definitely get Mauga/Hog/Orisa killed, so while I can certainly understand why it *seems* like you can just turn off your brain and win with them no matter what, my experience has been pretty drastically different. Granted, Orisa in particular has some of the best anti-cc/damage avoidance in the tank category and a number of ways to deny space, so it’s easy to see why so many players pick her when they just want to win comp matches.

@@chr8is891 I'm gonna have to disagree with you there mate, hog may have the most counters in the form of him having a big hitbox and cancellable heaing but he still has a very big presence on the battlefield and can quite quickly eliminate enemies just by taking them out of position, reinhardt is in the worst position for a tank currently

Ethically if you find the character genuinely entertaining to play, then I'd argue that is a solid example of an ethical Orisa. Ultimately though, because of the change to 5v5, there is very much a bias towards tank optimisation vs dps or support. With counterplay becoming so integral to the tank role in recent years, especially in ranked, there's a higher pressure on playing as best you can with as much consistency as possible. Shorter answer is dependent on how seriously one takes the game. If you play ranked or quick play, role queue or open queue, whatever. It only causes harm ethically if the knowledge, conditions and intent are taken to a serious degree.

It's fun until the enemy is hell bent on making sure you're rock and they're paper lol. It's fun until you're basically FORCED to play a character you don't wanna play. At that point, it's either suffer with a character you don't play or don't like playing or leave. And considering leaving now has harsher penalties, you're basically just forced to suck it up and suffer until its all over. A video game; Where you get on to have fun is starting to feel like a real life job now that the freedom of character choice is just an illusion lol

​@@technoraptor6419 I swear arcade is going to be the new unranked because it has no leaver penalties and it is also open queue. Legit whenever I play with my cousin, who is relatively new to the game, I just queue 2cp in arcade and we just troll.

Can guarantee you, I've gotten every trophy in the game but never received it cuz I dislike playing comp and quick play cuz of the toxicity and how some of the players try to act like managers. Like, yeah, maybe the character I wanna play doesn't sync the best with yours. But my guy, it's not comp- or it's not like we're getting prize money or like one of your family members is being held hostage unless we win. Some people just need to chill and have fun lol
