OVERWATCH Fan Reacts to EVERY Origin Story For The FIRST TIME! 

It's been a LONG time coming but I'm back with another Overwatch reaction! This time its the Origin stories! I have a TON to say and the reactions this time around are wooooo! Some of the best stuff Overwatch has put out is included so buckle up and subscribe if you want more videos like this one 🙏

the that fact sigma is technically the only character who could be classified as a literal god is horrifying.

Also Sigma isn't evil or bad. What he is, is that he is being manipulated by the evil people. He is clinically insane so he doesn't fully understand what hes doing. And in the Overwatch 2 In-game voicelines, you can hear that all the Talon Members (Reaper, Moira, Doomfist, etc). Are just trying to please him. They are the ones that freed him from prison. And are just trying to be on his good side. Completely manipulating him. The only person that has compassion to Sigmas situation is Sombra. Sombra is a master manipulator too. She can easily see whats happening with Sigma. So with her interactions with Sigma. Sombra kind of acts like a Big Sister/Motherly Role to Sigma. She doesn't want him to be mistreated. She has his back. But of course staying silent that he is being completely used. In Sigmas view, these people rescued him, they are sponsoring his research, and are overall very friendly with him (which is most seen with Moiras and Sigmas interactions where Moiras just being nice because he is so important to their evil organization Talon). When speaking to Overwatch characters, Sigma can't believe that the people that freed him from jail are evil. He won't accept that because of the hospitality that was shown and continue to be shown to him

What I see a lot of people not realize with the baptiste one is that when we see the kid at first, he’s telling the story and we assume it’s him, and then when it pans out when he’s talking about the devil and doing what you had to do, we realize that he was the soldier in that scene, making him into the destroyer of families, thus making him “become good” in a way and I just love that switch up

Cool to see more people discovering the Overwatch lore. There's a lot that the cinematics and origin stories don't cover but they're all brilliant!

The reason why Ana hesitated when seeing widowmaker is because widow is the wife a different overwatch agent (he isn’t really a part of the game). One night, the wife was kidnapped and brain washed to be a sleeper agent of sorts, slowing her heart down to be nothing more than an actual cold blooded, no emotion killer used against overwatch. So when Ana saw her once again, she was shook, but that short window was enough for widow to take the shot against Ana

The creators of the robots like echo or orisa might seem interesting since they are involved in the origin story, but they basically have the same role as parents and normally people might find them interesting, but wouldn’t want them to be playable over the actual characters with powers except for pharahs mother of course.

The cinematics from the pve paid modes are worth watching, especially Ironclad where you see more of ramattra and zenyatta

I agree Sigma origin story is PEAK overwatch origin story. Doomfist and Ramattra ones are second cant choose between them.

Fun fact: the 2 boys that were being trained with kiriko was Hanzo and genji and are her cousins.

The doomfist origin story was actually animated by the animators that made The Boondocks, it was super dope shame this was the only one they worked on

You should watch Overwatch Genesis. Its an "anime" short split into 3 parts that add up to around 20mins. Explains Ramattra origins, Echo's creator origins and origin of omnics.

It’s not really explained in these videos but the reason people were against Overwatch wasn’t just threats popping up that they couldn’t stop, but that their covert ops team Blackwatch (which was made up of Reaper, Cassidy, Moira and Genji) was made known to the public, it was a huge controversy since they were in violation of some international laws, and some missions had gone horribly wrong. They also operated in kings row even though they had been barred from doing so. All of that building up and the fight between soldier and reaper where they were both supposedly killed is why the Petras act was signed, which made Overwatch activity illegal

10:20 Leftmost person we still don't know Going from left to right: Gabriel Reyes / Reaper, Ana, Pharah, Jack / Soldier 76, Reinhardt, Torbjorn, Angela / Mercy, Cole Cassidy And far right is Sojourn 21:30 This is Blackwatch, Overwatch's former secret service and spec ops team. The team consisted of Moira, Gabriel, Genji, and McCree/Cassidy (whole other story). There was another event similar to the King's Row Null sector attack where you play as the group after Gabriel wrongfully kills someone they were supposed to bring in for interrogation / imprisonment. It was ultimately what set in motion the "Attack from inside" that Jack was talking about. Genji and McCree both left Blackwatch shortly after, and Blackwatch eventually joined in the formation of Talon. 33:00 Sigma's exposure to a black hole left him mentally unstable. Talon has essentially used that to their advantage, manipulating him into believing they're the good guys. There's a common theory that the melody is a sorta sleeper trigger that causes Sigma to go into a phychotic episode, since you hear it when he ults. At all other times, he is well mannered and probably the friendliest member of Talon.

great video! if you want you could watch the pve story mode mission cutscenes, it has some good scenes that build on some characters

12:05 from what I remember Ana faked her own death and kept fighting at a low profile, Soldier and Reaper know she is alive but idk if Pharah does which I why I think she told her that she hopes she would understand one day. Also Brigitte is Torbjorn daughter and Reinhardt goddaughter they are the ones with her on 22:40 (alongside Torb wife).

Just so you know, they're called Supports in Overwatch, because they all do more than just heal. Here's some info to help provide background or answer questions you had. Ana hesitated on shooting Widowmaker because Widow was the wife of an Overwatch agent who was kidnapped and brainwashed into becoming an assassin/sniper, who killed her own husband. Moira joined Blackwatch, which was the BlackOps parts of Overwatch, lead by Reaper, and then later joined Talon once Overwatch was fully disbanded. Brigitte is Torbjörn's daughter and Reinhardt's squire (he's also her godfather). Wrecking Ball (Hammond) indeed landed in Australia and became the reigning champion of the Scrapyard in Junkertown. He's also Junkerqueen's bodyguard and she's the only one in town who knows that Wrecking Ball is a hamster. He was good friends with Winston but is mad at him because WInston left the Moon Colony without him. In Ashe's Origin Story, you said they seem like they're really far back in the past, it's probably because of the whole cowboy aesthetic they have. Sigma just had his mind splintered from the failed experiment, but it gave him his powers over gravity. If you want to learn more about the doctor from Echo's Origin Story, Dr. Mina Liao, watch the Overwatch Genesis mini-series, it covers the origin of the Omnic Crisis and Overwatch. Regarding the timeline questions you had in the Sojourn Origin Story, the Omnic Crisis started in 2044, it ended in 2050. OW is disbanded in 2071. OW1 started around 2076. Kiriko's mother also trained Genji and Hanzo and there's a voiceline in the game where Doomfist asks Genji where he learned swordsmanship and he responded saying from the best Swordmaster in the world, and Doomfist goes, "Ah...her." So she's so good that even Doomfist knows her, whether by reputation or from an encounter, we don't know yet. Ramattra is just the leader of Null Sector, which is an Omnic extremist group. Also, not all Null Sector forces are Omnics, most are just drones. Like he said in the video, Omnics are just a single generation of sentient robots. They can't reproduce. It was a one-time miracle that created them. The Overwatch Genesis series covers it. It's short but good. Symmetra is who you were thinking about in the Lifeweaver Origin Story. They went to school together at the Vishkar Academy and were roommates and good friends and both use hard-light technology. There's also short stories and comics on the Overwatch site (go to Game Info then Media to find them) you can read for more lore and they also sell novels as well. Great reactions!

Moira is not the best healer. She is actually arguably the worst one. She's not a bad character sense all supports are really good. Her value just isn't as good as others. Only reason to go her is if you keep dying and can't get anything going with the better healers

Sigmas my favorite character, but it really feels like they dropped the most interesting character on us and then proceeded to do nothing with him
