Harold Winston's death has never been confirmed by Blizzard. It has only ever been implied. But, again, this is Blizzard we're talking about. Unless they come right out and say it, don't assume it to be true. ;)
ForeverDegenerate Actually, it is confirmed that all active personnel, including Harold Winston, died. Specifically concerning Harolds death - he was vented onto lunar surface and died from asphyxiation.
It was on sale for like $10 a little over a month ago on PC. I picked up and then started watching these shorts. As someone who is currently obsessed with the gameplay and lore I can confirm it's about time you bought it. JOIN US BROTHER!
I know you've seen the Sombra shorts since this. I was watching this again and something occurred to me... Sombra likely created that module that Reaper used for hacking the system. And we know that Sombra has her own agenda. And, in this, Winston seemed quite surprised that Athena shutdown as he was trying to help her, so the shutdown wasn't caused by him. I'm convinced that Sombra was behind Athena surviving and did so for her own as yet unknown reasons.
Dr. Harold Winston is more like Winston's foster father (hence why the Horizon lunar colony dubbed him "Winston"). The backstory of the colony is that all the other gorilla subjects rebelled and took over, killing the scientists, and Winston responded by fleeing to Earth.

"He's gonna get his friends back" thing is, Reaper, the bad guy in the skull mask, is in fact one of the original members of Overwatch, in fact, on the banner photo of the original team, he's the one on the far left
So um, what I know is that Winston was n a moon base for experiments and stuff. But his other friends has grown angry at the humans (idk why) and actually killed Winston. (That dude that was friends with the monkey Winston.) and the other people.
The human scientist , Harold Winston, and all the other humans on board all died when the intelligent apes trapped them in the airlock and sucked the humans into space.
kaaaat, there are also the "origins" trailer of some character, they're freacking good! Anyway, i really like the meaning of this trailer in particular. Loved playing Overwatch for two years. Then I suddenly just got really bad at the game and couldn't get out of high silver-low gold despite gold damage, silver elims, and three minutes of objective time each match being my average stats. Then I stepped away for one summer and somehow I lost any skill I had earned from a game I'd played whenever I could for two years straight... I think I'm with Hank from Detroit: Become Human. I have a few things I want to say to my maker as well. A lot of them aren't nice things...
funny how people jump to mercy. but true though. mercy is the best starter hero for those who dont have a background in fps. but there are other heroes, so dont limit yourself. for Damage class you can try Bastion, Torbjorn, Mei and Reaper. For Tank class you can try Reinhardt and Winston. For Support/Healer class, aside from Mercy, there are also Brigitte, Moira and Lucio. These heroes aren't aim intensive but may require some other skills (eg. awareness, positioning) which you can gain overtime
I thought the same thing when I bought the game about a month ago. I haven't played any pvp based shooters in about 8 years but trust me, there are heroes that can be played with relative ease even if you're not the best at aiming. I main Junkrat, Mei, Lucio, and Winston. Maybe check them out if you ever do decide to pick up the game (I highly recommend you do btw! It's an absolute blast).
I got a few days after release into Overwatch, mostly because of the fanart and the game music videos. Bought the game even though I usually don't play first person shooters, but I regret nothing, I love the characters that Blizzard created there so much.

I’m not much of an OW fan nor have I played any of it, but it’s still cool and stuff since they’re like everywhere nowadays haha. In this case, Winston the gorilla scientist and his scientist friend looks like Mojo Jojo and Prof. Utonium, or at least their kids or something, who would be doing much better without the PowerPuff Girls or whatever. I don’t know, just saying so yea haha.
