Overwatch vs Team Fortress 2 Reaction 

Love those. There were a lot of inside jokes there. The sniper thing was basically a joke about how often in both games you get a sniper that just can't aim at all. In fact, many TF2 servers limit how many people can be sniper at once so you don't end up with horribly unbalanced teams if one side has a bunch of very poor snipers.

The "end of the line" joke with Bob is hilarious

3:43 the gun he's using is the brass beast that has a much much slower ramp up speed than normal.

I really like how in the part 2 the entire team went to the flank route to not endanger the spycrabs.

The "i heal the man that kills you" is still my favorite line, so unhinged and fits the medic like a glove

A lot of the jokes are to do with how the players of certain characters are perceived. Like the engineer one is about how engineer is mostly reliant on his turrets and often gets many kills even after their death, and the whole intro animations and ‘play of the game’ is from overwatxh too!

The joke whit sniper and widowmaker is: This is what happend most of the time on "no scope" fights (no one can land a single shot)

These videos when I saw them for the first time made me laugh so much I had to show all my friends! It's so accurate too! Torb crying out for his baby when his turret and his actual daughter get shot. Or when horror Mei comes along since she's supposed to be one of the kindest characters, but her gameplay is freezing people to death while making happy noices. Also Sombra and Reaper used to have the loudest voice clips whenever they used their abilities, which for Sombra given that she's a character for stealth was not handy, but really funny. Oh and yes both snipers missing every shot is a joke. Widow says "1 shot, 1 kill" but the community quickly turned that into "1000 shots, 1kill." There's so many more in the first one alone! Honestly these videos are just amazing.

These are pretty meta. While some of the jokes are about the character's canonical personalities and lore, there are a lot of both gameplay mechanic jokes and gameplay experiences jokes as well. Such as how players behave in the starting room in each game and how in both games players who can't aim love playing snipers. Or if you choose a hero that isn't "meta", or appropriate for the map / team composition, other players are likely to flame and pressure you to pick something more beneficial for the team. Thus the bitchslap and hero change on one of the skits.

Since you guys are now aware with The Winglet Channel I recommend you guys watch The Fedora Chronicles Trilogy Kinda, The very first episode "The Fedora Chronicles" has nothing to do with the overarching story that started in the second epsode (which is the start of the trilogy), A series The Winglet made (Which IMO is S-tier quality). Here is the order you should watch 1. Bolted Behemoth (The cinemaphotography can be a bit funky) 2. Live and Let Spy 3. The Red, The Blu and The Ugly, Note: The original version is good but The Winglet released the "Director's cut" version (Which is better than the original) and don't watch the "2022 Edit" version because of youtube they made a heavily censored version (IMO is not worth the watch), that's why you should watch the "Director's Cut" version. (It's age-restricted but it's still available).

I would like to say that this animation is about how it feels to play Overwatch vs TF2. Most of the jokes are based on their respective communities and are meshed together.

As others have mentioned, there are a LOT of inside jokes for both TF2 and Overwatch in these animations. Some of these have already been mentioned, but here's a good highlight reel of the jokes: Anyone playing a Sniper or Widowmaker (feels like) they're guaranteed to have terrible aim in spite of picking the most aim-intensive character in the game. In the spawn before a match starts Overwatch players (hence their characters in the first video) will go around destroying the movable/breakable area because there's nothing better to do while you wait and physics are fun to play with. Mei is basically the Pyro (read: psychopath) of Overwatch due to her (old) playstyle of freezing enemies in place and then planting an ice spike in their brain to secure the kill. And the coup de grace, the attacking team being so focused on killing the enemies that they treat the round like team deathmatch and don't actually push the objective - in this case, the cart - and end up losing no matter how well they beat back their opponents.

After actually playing overwatch then watching these again, the second one is suddenly hilarious! Lucio stealing the Nano Boost had me in total stitches! This happens ALL THE TIME.

Okay, I think we can explain a lot from the notable interactions between Overwatch and TF2 characters. - Genji & Pyro: Deflection battle! - Torbjorn & Engineers: Being on the offense side put Torbjorn at a disadvantage against the Engineers on defense. - Pharah & Soldier: Market Gardener does critical damage in the midst of a rocket jump - so this is pretty easy to do against a flier. - Widowmaker & Sniper: Sniping battle! Which...goes nowhere. - Brigitte & Demoman: Shield bash battle! And it looks like the bigger shield wins. - Junkrat & Demoman: Friendlies. - Bastion & Heavy: Since this Heavy is using a Brass Beast, it takes a bit longer for it to actually start firing. - Soldier:76 & Scout: This is a "We Are Overwatch" reference - specifically, Jack's part. - Mei & Spy: Freeze battle! - Tracer & Scout: The highlight battle of the first one! Ultimately, Tracer's time-warping device and heavier artillery gave her the leg up in this one. - Sombra & Spy: It's tough being the merc who's most reliant on his gadgets when a cyberpunk hacker is lurking around. - Mercy & Medic: ...Do no harm, apparently. - Winston & Saxton Hale: He's actually punched a yeti into a pulp, so okay. Doomfist is smart enough to stay out of this. - Zarya & Engineer Nest: I guess since these Engineers have been a frequent menace throughout the battle, it was about time to clear them out - and what better way than with a gravitational singularity? - Pharam & Soldier: Heh. Payback. - Genji & Scout: Speedster battle! - Tanks & Sniper: Of course the Tanks won't be happy with anyone messing with their fellow Supporters. - Zenyatta & Spy: Mann vs. Machine shows that Spy's sapper can stun robots - so it's not too hard for him to get past the omnics unharmed. (Can't say the same for his failed sneaking toward Brigitte.) - Wrecking Ball & Engineer Nest: Another Tank taking care of a forest of buildings, who woulda thought? - Lucio & Pyro: Shove battle! - Mei & Pyro: Classic fire vs. ice joke. (Though I feel like if they went by canon stats, it would take a lot longer for Pyro to melt that cryostasis coolant.) - Reinhardt & Demoman: Sword-and-shield battle! Reminder: not all Demoknights need booties - grenadier Demoknights are just as valid. - Sombra & Demoman: The point of her Hack in-game is to disable all but the most basic actions. - Ganymede & Archimedes: Bird battle! - Roadhog & Heavy: The second highlight battle! This was a little tougher to call, but Heavy overcame this titan by using his own weapon against him. Might not be too far-fetched, actually - in the comics, he outmuscled a relatively superior Classic Heavy through sheer rage as well. - Ana & Lucio: ...For you TF2 players out there: this is pretty much equivalent to Scout stealing a Sandvich. - Ashe & Heavy: This Heavy must've thought an End of the Line reference could stop this uber-omnic. However, even invincible mercs can be launched away - and guess what one of B.O.B.'s main attacks is?

There is a lot of specific jokes about specific weapons, animations and other things that happen in game that I can image flying over your heads if you don’t play both games a lot. Like when heavys gun is super slow it’s because that specific gun he’s wielding is known for having a way to long deploy time before you can fire, the play of the game animation for demoman shooting a grenade into his crotch, that’s a highlight intro for junkrat when he gets play of the game in overwatch, but honesty I think it’s funnier on demo. Then there’s the spy crab meme and snipers jar of piss that’s an actual in game weapon and a a bunch of other stuff

You guys should watch "Pootis Engage" and "Pootis engage Extreme" lots of memes staring the red and blue heavy.

What I love about it, is the great jokes, with the main fact that no one technically wins. Sure tf2 does "overrun" overwatch, and gets them more kills, but they still technically lose due to no one doing the objective, which I mean, is relatable. Mainly upwards where everyone rushes ahead to quickly deal with the nest and everyone forgets about the cart

How in sync Bethany was with Ashe from 16:28 onward was priceless.

so, most of the jokes don't take lore into account but gameplay. Widow VS Sniper, both are crack shots in lore. But gameplay, players tend to not be good. A lot of the jokes on the tf2 side are the quirky little differences of their different gear being made a bit extreme, like when that heavy tried to shoot bastion in the tunnel, that gun has a slower rev time, so it doesn't start shooting as fast. It's nowhere near as slow as portrayed though. The Overwatch side is more the reputation the characters have regarding stereotypes
