Ovika, Enigma Goliath Deck Tech | Magic: The Gathering EDH 

I love Ovika but there are some VERY key cards you need in this deck to make it even better. Goblin Chirugeon so you never have to worry about Ovika dying to things that don’t exile it or phase it out plus with the ward they need to pay 3 and 3 life just to even target Ovika in which you still regen at a small cost of a single goblin and go on your merry way. The next one is invasion of Segovia, with this battle you get two blue squids and when it flips now you’re convoking all your non creature spells with all the goblins you’re making. I’ve already seen someone talk about skirk prospector. And you absolutely need fools fate, it’s an aura that you’ll slap onto Ovika and if Ovika dies it comes back and when fools fate hits the grave it goes back to hand and allows you to cast it again making more goblins. I also understand wanting to keep it simple with the lands but if anything you’ll absolutely be set for red mana and you’ll need the dual lands to make up for any blue you might need for counter magic or card draw spells

i disagree wheels in this deck are INSANE in value esp if your comboing off. i run a ton of wheels in my ovikla and if shes been out for a turn its pretty much over a wheel ensues more cards to play

Coat of Arms seems like it would be good for this deck.

Ovika got mouths to feed miles to go and more Phyrexia to see Gliding Silently by Dropping from the sky Plenty of Gobbo's Ready to defy victory to my opponents eyes Zealous fanatical and ready to die They are the seeds of their destruction and leave my opponents ready to cry I shut the door and say Goodbye! Storming off with spells Do they not hear their death knell? Soon to leave them far from heaven Fallen deep into Phyrexian hells Oil glistens, metal creaks In the darkness you can hear Yawgmoth speak Whispering forgotten psalms till your individuality is gone Rebirthed a corrupted spawn You will sing Phyrexia it's overdue praises Ovika our commander comes and raises Our hearts and souls as the plane blazes A crucible that changes us We stay calm as the world rages Our moment is open So too are the door of our cages Ovika's tokens flood the board and our opponents despair soars Hypnotic like an ocean in tidal phases Surfs up! Phyrexia is off to the races riding on waves of mutilation to another shore to begin once more Sharing it's gifts of perfection to any inhabitant searching for compleation :P

Still working on my 99, but Ovika has been a fun build around. Cultural Exchange, Devilish Valet, Mystic Reflection, Sakashimas Will. Kinda janky, but right at home.

May I suggest Geode Golem? Cheating on CMC 7 seems great and only gets better with command tax. Also Spell Burst might be handy if you're ramping hard enough since you can buy it back and get more Ovika value

I played against a really interesting Ovika deck a while ago, an Enchantress build. I could see it was strong, even though I largely neutered it by killing her multiple times.

3.22 what do u mean goblin payoff in the command zone ? you only get goblins when he is on the battlefield

this has been the one I immediately set me eyes on. love your take on it. Krenko is a nice addition. If you want to finish games with 10 goblins and Ovika being killed, try Mercadia's Downfall. It's often just another shared animosity.

Check out Battle Hymn as a ritual, I know that Brightstone Ritual is much better for goblins. But just for the sake of redundancy it might be worth it.

I haven't played with any of the all will be one commanders, but if I chose to build around one it would be the juggernaut commander because it's hilarious.

I’ve been wondering this since someone recommended to put in purphorous, but if he comes down with Ovika in play, but not enough devotion, would he trigger Ovika and create the goblins? Or is he seen as a creature spell being cast still?

Why its no body talking about how Skirk Prospector turns Ovika into a Power House?!?!?!?!?!

Love this. I just built an Ovika deck on a whim a few days ago, took apart Krenko for it. I’ve been loving it, played it 6 times so far, had a few times killing multiple players out of nowhere with this, and in my very first game resolved an Apex of Power with it in play off the mana from a Brightstone Ritual 😂 mine is closer to the enchantress build, with lots of goblin lords and tons of mana rocks.

I just got my ovika deck how I want it. My favorite additions that fuel the deck are sorcerers class, invasion of segovia, and kindred discovery. My favorite game ender is city on fire

Opposition is a very cut throat card which goes great in ovika Kindred Discovery is an amazing draw engine Ashnod's altar, Phyrexian Altar, Sorcerer Class, and Skirk Prospector are awesome goblin payoffs that allow you to keep storming off Haze of Rage is a cool game ender and good mana sink for any spare mana leftover with all your rocks Convoke cards like City on Fire are effectively free assuming they are mono red and you have ovika and the goblins to tap for them. Flipping an Invasion of Segovia (which will be easy considering ovika can do so on her own) will give all your non creature spells convoke! And lastly for a little more random fun you can run chaos wand and wand of wonder, to cast random instants and sorceries from your opponents deck, allowing you to break your decks izzet color identity a little

honestly, one of the best cards ive ever added is city on fire. Convoke is obviously strong when ovika is in play, and City on fire turns even your backup commanders into something that takes a significant investment to kill. there have been games where i've just flat out won the game because i got ovika on the table then cast city on fire, creating 8 goblins with haste and tripling their power.

Really sold me with the devilish valet, def building this
