I tested on Saturday am with clear blue digital and it was negative. The next time after I tested (Sunday 8pm) I was peak! So my surge must have happened within the day and a bit of not tested. Crazy. Very sharp spike. Glad I tested when I got home (just in case), or I’d have missed it!

I started opks on CD10 and was shocked to see a darker test line so early coz my cycles are 35-45 days post BC. Between CD10-CD18 it looked like I had 3 peaks with highs and lows in between. I believe CD19 was my O day. Unfortunately had brown spotting all throughout that fertile period. Coming off BC really threw me off

I have a surge of 1.3, but the calendar still reads ovulation will take place in 7-8 days. Could this be incorrect and ovulation happen within the next 2-3 days? Yesterdays ovulation test was 1.13, so the surge continues and I wasn't sure if tomorrow brings a lower test level it'll make today the peak. It does not read as a peak, but reads as 'high'.

Hi Alyssa! The app's predictions are initially based on the previous data you have entered. As you continue to log your period data, track your cycle, and find your LH peak, the app will then change its ovulation prediction to show the day after the peak as ovulation day. Since there is always the potential for your levels to continue to rise, the app will not be able to identify your peak until you upload a test that is lower than your last highest result.

At what day while testing LH is best time to make love? I’ve seen people say up to 3 days after highest peak, and I’ve seen up to 3 days before highest peak. How would you know when your highest peak is to come? This is where I’m confused

Good question. We recommend time intercourse 5 days before ovulation day and ovulation day. You are most fertile on your LH peak day itself and the day after (ovulation day). Sperm can live for 3-5 days so it's good to time intercourse prior to receiving your LH peak. Depending on your LH surge pattern, you may get only one positive test or multiple. If your period is every 55 days ish (can be anywhere 40-60 days) when would you recommend taking a test? I started them right after my period and have gone 60 days straight and no ovulation high or peak. Could I just be not ovulating?

Hi Kristin! It's possible that you missed your LH surge. If you have a rapid LH surge pattern, you may have elevated LH levels that last for a few hours to a day, which means the peak time/positive result can be missed easily. To avoid missing your peak, please test twice a day when approaching ovulation day. Additionally, you may have a lower LH level, so it may not be able to trigger a positive test result. I would recommend you track your BBT at the same time to double-check if ovulation has occurred or not.

Im confused about these ovulation test, i had 3 peaks ,my period never came ,i dont have Pcos ,my lh numbers keep going up , but pregnancy test r negative, my last menstrual was april 17th, i ovulated may 3rd ,no period on my next cycle ,now im 19DPO still no menstrual LH still surging, my basal temperature is still high 98.6-99.6 i dont knw what to think at this point , i have all these pregnancy symptoms ugh

I got my peak this morning at 5 am on easy at home, then tested again got high in the morning morning at 9. The clearblue came full peak yesterday at 10. If from peak it’s gone to high does it mean I have missed the opportunity of conception?

I understand why seeing your ovulation test results change from "peak" to "high" could be concerning and make you worry you've missed your opportunity this cycle. However, try not to stress just yet - there is still a good chance you caught your fertile window. After your LH peak is detected (indicating ovulation will occur within 24-36 hours), your LH levels start to decline again, which can show as a change from "peak" to "high" or back to "low" fertility. The decline in LH after your peak does NOT necessarily mean you have ovulated already. Ovulation still likely has not happened yet or is in the process of happening within a day or so of your peak reading. So you are still in with a chance this cycle! Try to stay optimistic, avoid excess stress, continue making love and be patient during your two week wait. I really hope this is your month - keep me posted on your updates! But if not, now you know for next cycle to just keep enjoying intimacy after that first peak test for maximum chances. You've got this! Baby dust to you!

They should eventually come back, but you should speak to your OBGYN if you go 3 months without a period.

Good question! There will only be one LH peak each cycle and the Premom quantitative ovulation test will take the highest priority. That being said, there won't be a peak marked on the easy@home test gallery in your case.

Some women have a rapid LH peak that only is visible for a couple hours, consider testing your LH levels two times a day next cycle to ensure you don’t have a rapid rise pattern that you’re perhaps missing and add in BBT to help confirm ovulation. Keep in mind, that the darkest/highest of all your test (followed by a drop) will be considered the peak. Best wishes!!

I've been testing in the mornings for over a year and tracking on premom but I rarely find a peak or high. What am I doing wrong or should do differently?

It is best to test midday between 10am-8pm and to limit liquids 2 hours prior to testing. Try testing daily for the entire cycle, starting on the day after your period ends until your next period begins. If you still have difficulty finding your surge you can use a secondary tracking method like BBT as well.

The recommended time for testing with ovulation tests is actually 10AM to 8PM as it takes some time for the luteinizing hormone (LH) to build up in your system.

i have pcos my LH is low since my last period but all of a sudden my LH was high in premom app yesterday at around 11 am onwards till 11pm with a peak at 11.05 pm in both test strips and i confirmed it with clear blue digital and that also showed a smiley face .. so did that meant i was ovulating as today morning i tested my test was negative for both digital and the strips ones so basically i was positive for 1 day and the other day negative .. was it i already ovulated or about to ovulate ?

The tests cannot confirm if you have already ovulated yet or not. They can only help you to predict when ovulation will occur based on your LH surge. If you reached your LH peak yesterday, then today would be considered ovulation day. Ovulation typically occurs 24-36 hours after reaching your LH peak. It is not uncommon for women to receive low/negative tests on their actual ovulation day, this just means that your LH surge is likely over.

Sometimes your ovulation tests can get darker right before your period for some ladies, for whatever reason. Have you retested? If your period doesn't come and you get a positive ovulation test with a negative hcg test, it could be a very late ovulation and you should have intercourse just in case!

Hi guys wondered if someone can help me me and my partner have been trying for about about. Year now I have a 11 year old son already from a previous relationship, I recently down loaded the Premom app and have been strip testing for my ovulation,, so today I got my highest it’s was 1.32 on the Premom app but the test line wasn’t as dark as the control line I taken another picture and it said the same,.? Can any one help me with this please.. thank you guys

Dear Avril, if you find the result is not properly interpreted by the app, you can swipe to the left on the photo and tap the edit icon to adjust the intensity of the T and C line to how it appears in person or delete the result directly. the latter. .53 is low, but you can still ovulate. I'd like to share some tips with you: 1. The ideal time to take tests is 10am-8pm. First-morning urine is not recommended. 2. Try to limit liquid intake 2 hours before testing as diluted urine may affect the test result. 3. When you get consecutive similar negative results, test once a day is fine; When you notice a surge, test twice a day, at noon and in the early evening, to avoid missing LH peak.
