Thank you very much for a wonderful detailed review. After using multiple coffee mugs from starbucks to Contigo I was shopping for a travel mug with a SIMPLE LID. I did not want any groves in the lid where coffee residue collects. I found this Owala mug but the website did not have many pics to decide. Your review helped me take the final decision. I often knock over my mug. Will this cause a spill ? Not worried about it being upside down or constantly tilted.

Too bad the lid doesn’t close to prevent coffee from spilling out. Deal breaker
