I know right; this song is just great on a musical and relatable level! I'm glad the lyrics helped you out, they do the same thing for me!! Tune in next month, i'll be doing a lyric video for every song from my favorite Owl City Album : All Things Bright and Beautiful! :)))
Owl City has been my inspiration since my 16th birthday....thank you,Adam. You helped me through the rough patches of life with your music. Thank you for giving me the inspiration to keep my writing true to me- just like your music.
Same here! Since I was about 16. He helped me get through so many crushes that didn't pan out, weird awkward high school experiences, and just growing up in general. His music was and always will be one of the biggest inspirations for my drawings and my stories and characters. He really inspires like no other.
an interpretation Sleep is a time machine I imagine the person says this thinking they can go back in time to be with the people that they miss, but also Life is a lucid dream they feel they are sleeping, in life they see their loved ones alive, they see them still and are haunted by them but also it reveals how they ultimately feel hopeful and feel they can make life as they want, like how you can control what happens in a lucid dream that's how you know my heart.. the lyrics describe their inner thoughts of life, sorrow and hope
I will listen to this on loop at work. During the buildup parts, I raise my body dramatically. Then the beat drops and I go nuts. Then I get to the THAT'S HOW YOU STUDY THR STARS" and start mouthing it. Then the buildup starts again. I probably look insane
Like the vid and the song ! The only thing I would change is the background when the beat drops. I like the idea but in this case it makes me a little dizzy. I think you have the right idea, I would just try and implement it in a slightly different way.
Foam Test thanx man! Yea I agree looking back on it, that beating effect for the background puts some strain on my eyes but I felt like it needed something you know?
I feel kinda bad for anyone who doesn't remember their dreams. My sister can't, and I think that she is either lying (I don't think she is), or she somehow angered some god of some kind and has been cursed to never remember her dreams. Can't imagine a worse one, besides immortality. But that's a whole other discussion in and of itself.
