Owl Lino print- using a lino cutter with bench hook 

This is part of a mini project introducing pupils to reduction lino printing. The image is an owl but it can be applied to other subject matter.
In this video I demonstrate how to cut with a lino cutter, I use a bench hook as an additional safety precaution. Lino cutters are dangerous and should not be used by young children. Within a classroom close supervision is important as pupils develop their skills. If you are not confident to use this process or are working with younger pupils other processes such as poly print might be more suitable and still reveal block print theory.
In the next video I go onto demonstrate the cut out profile option before moving onto how to ink and print.
