Saw Yes live in 1972. Wakeman was on his first stint with the band. As a student of piano, I was thunderstruck at the sounds he produced. Anderson and Howe were in top form, and Squire's work was also impeccable. They were ALL virtuosos. Oh, and there was a laser show going the entire time. Blew my 17 year-old mind.
it was a great tour, before the concert began John came thru a split in a curtain and walked directly into me on his way to the stage, little fellow, I did not spill either beer in my hands😅
Wakeman stole the show there at the end of the song! Not easy to do with the gobs of talent on that stage. This song has been blowing minds for decades!!! YeS!!
Back in the day, that's the 70's, when I was young and foolish in Newcastle, Australia I used to lay in the dark listening to Fragile, Close to the Edge, Tales From the Topographic Oceans on my inexpensive record player... And then got older and fell into the disco night club era. Dancing around like a fool as you do.
I've been listening to this band since 1970,i their music gives me up lifting good feelings, I saw them at Madison Square Garden in NYC what a great show and night that was. I never get tired of hearing the music
