don't know if you had peugeot check it already, but pretty sure it is frozen adblue that is rattling somewhere. have in mind that its freezing temperature is -11°C and while the traveller should theoretically have some kind of heating device for the adblue-tank, imho it could come from that.
I have a Subaru Forester(gasoline) with a Webasto auxiliary heater(manual) and it makes similar noises after it works for some time. They sound to me as electrical short/bad connection. The car hasn't burst to flames yet, but these sounds make me feel very uneasy...
Hi, I heard the same and the fact is that rear heating was on and I was driving few miles with cold engine. I heard this first time after almost 2 years driving. I thought it should be animal inside:).
Ben, no idea what that is, but it is far from right. There is likely to be a vibration with that noise so they should track it down easily. At least you have a video that you can show the dealer.
Ben, further to this I made enquiries about the noise with a truck mechanic friend. The top model of the Peugeot Traveller and the Citroen equivalent apparently have a non-programmable webasto diesel powered heater. This noise is apparently normal if they are shut down before fully up to temperature, for example if the car has only been driven for a few miles from a cold start.
