my story is similar, i had a 1 ltr kushaq and i changed to 1.5 ltr Slavia. u could have also gone for the 1.5 ltr DSG, the driving experience is absolutely different to 1ltr automatic. But one other difference i noticed was, i like the drivers sitting position of Slavia over Kushaq for long distance travel, so little different to what you have experienced !

Any reason why you didn't consider upgrading to DSG? though i am not fan of dsg/dct but as you changed from Kushaq to slavia so asking.

For two important reasons - one is initial cost and high maintenance cost second - even 1L engine is powerful and excellent for city and highway mix. However DSG is more of a highway engine and not of much value for city drive.

@@Hisheks1107maintenance of 1.5 ltr might be high only after u cross the 5 years warranty period. That cannot be the only reason, yes the initial cost is more. 1.5 ltr with DSG is definitely not same or even similar to 1.0 ltr with Torque converter AT. I've owned both and have driven both extensively and 1.5 ltr DSG brings a smile on my face every single time, yes 1 ltr AT is not bad but if u drive them back to back then u will not prefer the 1 ltr at any cost !

Is it comfortable to seat in rear seat in Slavia ? What I mean is to get in and get out from rear seat

Its very much comfortable to sit in rear seat. Getting in and out is little challenge only for people who are taller (height more than 5’8”) and anybody who has back problem.

How is rear seat comfort with three average size passengers in Kushaq? Please help?

Won’t be that comfortable for the person in the middle. 2 adults & a child would be comfortable.

@@Hisheks1107 thank you so much for replying. Could you also share mileage in city, highways, heavy traffic and on hills? Perhaps that would help me in making my decision.

@@TravelAndMachines … Average city mileage 10kmpl, Heavy traffic 7-8kmpl and Highways maxm I have got 19kmpl. Hills is yet to be explored. However all AT cars have more or less similar mileage. Thanks!

@@Hisheks1107 okay. Do you have idea about MT mileage? And how about comfort at rear seat for 3 adults and 200 kms ride?

@@Hisheks1107 thanks a lot. One last question : will you recommend other to buy Kushaq for 8-10 years use? I heard turbocharged engines have high maintenance

Mine was fairly new and well maintained, I got a good deal. You should get decent resale between Rs 12L to -Rs 14L for well maintained car. Thanks

I trusted the reviews and videos and bought the car and soon after buying new car my harassment started DO NOT recommend this car or any Skoda car as this creates trust issues with brand and product ======== I have sent an email with all details to Skoda and no action has been done by Skoda so far. Here are my critical issues: 1) Why was the car sold on 17th May 2024 with defect & it failed to reach home post-delivery? 2) On 18th May 2024, the car had transmission noise and AC issues. Why was I not informed of these defects? 3) Why were the AC and transmission problems present in a brand-new car? What was done during PDI? 4) Why was the car reported again on 26th May for the same issues? What repairs were made on 18th May? 5) The car was reported on 5th July and again on 16th July with unresolved issues. Why were these repairs ineffective? 6) After 60 days and five repair attempts, why was it only discovered on 16th July that the car has a manufacturing defect? 7) Why has the transmission system and AC unit not been replaced yet? 8) Why am I being asked to come in for a sixth repair instead of receiving a replacement or effective resolution? This ongoing issue has caused significant stress and disappointment. I expect a senior representative to handle this matter promptly. I am not interested in further repair attempts.
