From one extreme to another extreme it had to be extremely hard for ELVIS and his parents, especially GLADYS, going from "rages to riches" overnight. ELVIS quickly, was able to bring the three Of them out of poverty with his first movie earnings. He didn't want his mother to ever need to work again. ELVIS MADE THAT DREAM A REALITY FOR SURE❣️ ELVIS WAS ALWAYS TCB⚡TLC⚡❣️ BE AT PEACE SWEET 😇 🙏🙏 9-28-2021

I'm not sure he was thinking about being mobbed by fans. His success was a relatively new experience and this house was a huge move up from public housing. The crowds did make it untenable and as his success grew he moved to what would be called Graceland. It is a rags to riches story.

@@SuperBeachbum74 he got a traffic ticket right after sun studios......about 5 yrs later a saw him in tupelo waiting on a group. I told him I remembered him and the ticket. He told me that was a bad memory for him.

Yes and do you know what? This guy, I and my Swiss girlfriend had as a personal guide in Memphis and Tupelo when we were there 2 years ago and what he didn't know about Elvis; his life, upbringing, marriage and the interesting places to see was hardly anything. He stayed out with us the whole day in his car and drove us around to various interesting places. We really had an awesome day out with him. He also took us to Audobon Drive and many more places and his cost for all this was hardly nothing. Such a nice guy. We even bought his book which he signed for us. I was being recommended to stay in touch with him when we arrived to Memphis from another YT-friend and it was worth every penny.

So I was going to advertise to try and get someone local (an Elvis fanatic like myself) who could keep me company and take me around all of the various places Elvis used to frequent. I would obviously pay them for their trouble and hopefully make a lifelong Elvis friend along with the bargain too 😬 this guy seems to be exactly who I’m looking for, if I give you my email would you possibly be able to give me his contact details OR if your not comfortable in doing that maybe give him my email please?! @@sarabritt5212 Jerry Lee Lewis. I have been a fan since I was a teenager in the mid 70’s. Jerry lived at the East Shore Drive is the property he lived in with his 3rd wife Myra and their children. The property is featured in the bio pic ‘Great Balls Of Fire’ staring Denis Quaid and Wyone Ryder

He did have a home in Beverly Hills, never in Miami, but this was the first home that he owned. He really bought it for his parents. It was quite a big move for them to be able to move out of public housing into their own home in a really nice neighborhood. A dream come true.

do you know the address and its a shame the house he bought for the cook mary jenkins is in disrepair new owner has no respect for item elvis bought i saw it on google maps
