Owning our Narratives was created by Fellows from the Ogiek (Nakuru) and Sengwer communities in Kenya. It begins by presenting a series of statements by the fellows and mentors about their use of Participatory Video and why they want to pass on PV skills in their communities. It then presents some of the videos they made during the 2022-23 training period, including 'Sacred words' in which they speak about the meaning of particular words in their mother tongue; 'The Magic Bone', which is an enactment of a traditional folklore tale and 'Our Precious Land' which is a campaigning video.
