My mom has a white one and you're spot on with the way it drives. Took me by surprise on how it drives more like a car than a truck, which is a good thing.
Gm has it to where you can open and close your back tailgate but moving your foot under it I don’t remember if it’s on the right or left side. But it’s intended for when you have your hands full u can click button to open manually u use your foot under the back bumper somewhere there’s a sensor and it opens
I love my black 4th gen Plati. There is a sensor under the rear hitch area. If you kick, just forward kick motion under this area, it will open and close rear hatch.
This Slade isn't the latest model, but the interior design really is gorgeous. I might consider this one instead of straining my wallet buying a newer one.
Careful these things are fatal in a rollover. Roof is very weak. Supposedly this was fixed in 2021 but there’s a video on you tube of a 2021 roof crushing in a rollover. It was the suburban version.
Dude his right I think the sensor is under the back bumper so u prob kinda keep flashing the sensor and that’s why your trunk door keeps closing and I also want a caddy that’s why I search for a video like this I’m glad u just don’t do racing stuff 😅
Pretty sure that power tailgate has a sensor on the bottom of the rear bumper for you to use your foot to touch the bumper for it to open or close. It's meant to be used for when your hands are full loading or unloading the cargo area.
Magneride Suspension makes it basically a sport suspension Also the senso is on the floor when u sweep ur foot on the floor theres a sensor😂 it looked funny what you where doing
Just make sure when you drive this hog, put it manual shift mode and set it to either 5th gear if it’s a 6speed transmission or 9th gear if it’s a 10speed. This keeps the truck from going into 4 cylinder mode (afm) Which can prolong lifter life. You can also get a hand held tuner to permanently turn off the cylinder shut off but not approved yet to keep warranty. I have a 2019 truck in for a new engine because of the lifter failure. On the 2015 to current models. 1,4,6,7 cylinders have the special afm lifter/spring system, it send power to the solenoids to open and send oil pressure into the lifter to collapse the plunger, collapsed lifters will not engage the pushrods/not opening the valves for 4cylinder mode. It’s just a matter of when that shitty system fails. I’ve done about 10 engines this year already, yes you could replace the cam and lifter, but good luck. Parts are scarce.
Nice ride 👍. You might be leaning against your key fob a certain way. Like when you lean against something and activate that stupid panic button on the key fob. Hate that when that happens lol.
You might have the option to close the tailgate with your foot. I know the “higher” end suvs can do it, your Audi, bmw, Mercedes I’m sure the Cadi can too.
Yes, i bought one and broke the first day i took it home. Called Detroit Cadillac directly from the side of the road. They apologized and brought me help on the spot.
I have been looking at purchasing ...really stuck between 3rd gen an 4th gen..for reliability..i plan on buying with high miles...80k to 100k..and from what i have read...3rd gen much more reliable..but man the 4th gen is beautiful...any insight os greatly appreciated
Bad sensor under the rear bumper maybe? Used one on an Audi and your leg really had to be under the bumper for it to open and close. But I don’t know how it works on this car.
I have the exact truck, but black interior. I have my DoD disabled in the tune but otherwise unaltered. We go to Universal about once a month. set the cruise to 82ish and we get about 20.5. I can get 21ish without cruise. On 93.
22 highway when driving responsibly. But with the way these drive, it's hard. But I also went from a 2005 avalanche to this. So I look down often and I'm going 85-90 without noticing it. 🤷♂️
Ya the audio thru a phone mic or anything really to put on a RU-vid video is trash like people try to show off their stuff in a RU-vid video makes no sense to me
Nah u trippen I need my sunroof and I stay in hollywood fl & north Miami so it’s a must because to me I get that fresh air from the top & smoking with only the sunroof
You are a great tuner, very easy to tune out DOD or AFM as its called now and enjoy the much better driveability and the 8 speed auto trans will thank you also.
It may have a foot sensor. When u sweep your foot under rear bumper the rear door closes. Supposed to b convenient for when hands full to b able to close rear door.
Yup.. American V8... easy maintenance... they run forever... The high price of gas is small a small price to pay compared to the maintenance cost to keep similar class of luxury vehicles on the road...
I never got into I own mustangs so I have to only buy ford. I like expeditions and navigators but I also like cadillac amongst other GM products. I have 2 minor children and 1 adult... I like SUV's like this I can haul around my family or possibly grand kids with ease. And I can hook up a trailer if I need to and head to lowes or to pull a car or a side by side.
2:30 if you pull down on the hatch, does it initiate self close? If so, maybe putting in the weight, like the tranny in the back, shook the car and made the hatch jiggle like you were pulling it down which initiated the self close feature?
There’s a sensor under the bumper that you can “kick” your foot and it’ll activate the tailgate opening or closing. At night time you can tell where it’s at because it will illuminate a Cadillac symbol on the ground and that’s where you “kick” your foot.
I rented the yukon and the back end felt like I was driving an unloaded pickup. The back end would have came around on the highway off the throttle. The DSC saved the day and brought it back in line. I also rented the Yukon XL and if felt very stable. I'm not sure if I just got a bad one but I have a hard time recommending the shoe version of GMs SUVs
