First, thank you for upload. However, here are some "Constructive" criticisms :- More than 3/4 of your video layout was showing the other equipment in your lab and your arm. To see the control switches better the video should have showed just the 'scope itself. Next why was it necessary to display all 4 channels, (while explaining features) for so long?
Hi! Thank you for your observation and positive criticism... all of this cames with time and experience, I hope my recent reviews are better. Regarding of the 4 channels, well as you know the 1GSa/s is divided by the 4 channels, if I tested with the 4 channels on, you have a better idea how the oscilloscope handles the signal with full load, but I get what you say and I went to see the video again and also agree with the arm there is a not needed distraction. Hello Tedjini, I have arriving the Hantek 2D10 also to make a review and add to the mix. It seems a very nice oscilloscope two. But the price is almost the same that this SDS1104 with for channels, only after the review I will have a more compreensive look of whats the best one. But if I had to choose right now between FNIRSI 1104D and OWON SDS1102/SDS1104 I will probably go to the OWNO. The 1014D is easy to work, but the OWNO seems to be more stable. When the Hantek arrives I will do a video only comparing the 3 oscilloscopes. Thanks for watching. Cheers.

Hello, I would like to help, but to be fair, I had to have tested before both devices. Generally speaking, 14bits is very nice in terms of signal analysis and Owon has great devices for the value, it depends if you need the bw or not. Thanks for watching!
Hi, ok in a basic way the oscilloscope has a limit of voltage it can handle, normally with the probes at 1x you can go up to 40V vpp (depends on the oscilloscope, but for the small ones this is more less typical) and if you use the 10X attenuation, that voltage increases to 400V vpp. So, you want to measure the ripple of your mains in the house, you should also use the 10X on your probes. Hi, SCPI is the short version of Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_Commands_for_Programmable_Instruments ) and it is a set of commands that you can send to the device to achive different operations on the device, like turn the channel on, off, change amplitude, etc. LabVIEW is a software from National Instruments (NI) that allows you to test several electronic scenarios ( www.ni.com/pt-pt/shop/labview.html ) and that can be used with this oscilloscope. Yeah! But I spend a lot of money in test equipment, a lot really. I'm really glad that Owon saw merit in my videos and sent me this unit to review. I think this oscilloscope right now is a bit of a underdog. ATTENTION: The ali express dealer has abused the link to the SDS1104 and now offers a cheaper, but crappy FNIRSI one instead. The usual ali Express nightmare once the dealer gets behind the promotion he has gotten from a youtube video.
Hey Hossam, look I have several Rigol products and I can assure their quality, of course theres better, but for what I do is more than enough. Rigol DS1054Z in terms of price, it costs about the double of the price of Owon, but it is a product that I believe is in a higher level line than Owon. You have decoder (optional but for the 400€ price you can get it with all licenses) and normally on Rigol you can also upgrade the bandwidth, this is a Z model, so I don't know if that is possible. It's only 50Mhz while the Owon SDS1104 is 100Mhz also 1Gsa/s. I think Rigol might a good option if you want to spend that money. Owon SDS1104 for a entry line oscilloscope did very well. I just received a fast rise signal generator so be able to measure the bandwith using the rise time method and verify if it is really 100Mhz, thats my only doubt about this device. Because it worked pretty well in the value readings tests I made. I will do soon a new video testing my Rigol MSO2102A (currently at 300Mhz), the Hantek DSO2D10 and the Owon SDS1104 for bandwith. Wraping up the answer, I have very good experience with Rigol, didn't test yet the DS1054Z and if you have the budget you certanly will be ok with that one. If you prefer to have something more economic and also reliable, Owon will be a good choice also. Thanks for watching! 👍
The serigraphy for "CH1", "CH2", "CH3" is badly located on your part (should be aligned with "CH4"). On my SDS1104 I bought earlier this year, eveything is fine. Maybe that's why you got it for free. Something you did not talk about, is the strange way the Trigger works in "Single" mode, when you want to restart it once it triggered. You should mention this because it's really disturbing (from my point of view).
Hi Lionel, I talk about the seregraphy in the beggining of the video (2:10), that was a production problem and they want me to send another to the video, but I refused, that will not influence the review, it was just aesthetic, regarding the trigger issue, I did mention it doesn't have the single button on minute 10:35 but I have to admit that I can be really anoying and in the "Oscilloscope showdown video" I give more importance to that issue. My Rigol oscilloscope as the single button and I never noticed the issue of going to the menu to change to single mode again, I agree during testing that can be really anoying, sorry for not mentioning in the video, it was my fault. Hi, If i remember correctly the problem is DHL and their high fees, I just received something some days ago that paid 15€ for custom fees including the fees for FedEx... DHL are scammers!
