Oxford/24 Interview with María Folqué and Ignacio Rodríguez Añino 

María Folqué, Head of Sustainability at FundsPeople, interviews Ignacio Rodríguez Añino, Chief Distribution Officer Americas at M&G Investments, to discuss one of the panels that will be assessed during the #FideOxford24 that will take place September 18th, 19th and 20th.
María and Ignacio gather to discuss effective strategies for decarbonizing investment portfolios, the panel in which Ignacio will participate in Oxford.
During the interview María and Ignacio talk about how to do it. Are you going to do it directly? Thinking also about the economy? What is the impact? A lot of challenges will be addressed in Oxford.
Also, the relationship between decarbonizing portfolios and decarbonizing the real economy is a hot topic. The challenge for portfolio managers is having a low impact in carbonization while you help the economy to decarbonize. One of the mentioned issues is that methodologies are not homogeneous, as Ignacio says. Plus, “initiatives and commitment are not the same, an initiative doesn’t mean that you are committed, so how you’re proving that? By showing advances, by showing how you decarbonized.”
