Thanks for the appreciation. I’m an Oxford fan, and unfortunately I wasn’t alive to see this, as I started supporting as a kid in the 90’s. I’ve so far seen us go from the 2nd tier to the conference back to the 3rd tier. Onwards and upwards, but never a dull moment. Win or lose up the U’s! 💛💙 🐂
@@oufc90 I'm a Macclesfield fan myself and govwhen.i can.we are beginning to Pick up again now after going through a dull patch?we have Alex Bruce now as head coach Steve Bruce son.back in tge day when Oxford were a class side I was a Man city fan I used to go regular but never went to the Manor when u played us a few times in the 80s
I remember that Langan winner well, that was a marvellous team and we were so lucky to see Billy Hamilton in his final season. he and Aldridge combined so well and several of their combinations stick in the memory still-magic days
I agree that this was Oxford 's strongest team. Rolling off the names of the Arsenal squad was humbling, but seeing Langan, Hamilton and Adrdrige play together was such a treat.
Enjoy the 80’s action, love to see the full highlights of some of these old games, and not the cut ones, this looked like a full blooded proper ole fashioned cup tie
happy days, for a while, at the Manor mate - although I remember having to go in to the Cuckoo Lane End with the scousers to watch the Us v Liverpool - Aldo had signed for the Pool at that stage and our top flight days were coming to an end :((
you know the annoying thing is that my dad is an Oxford supporter and I'm an arsenal supporter now he keeps on bragging about this so I just say remember where they are now
