Glad to see another video. I have my test on Friday in Oxford. I'm doing an intensive course this week (after having last had lessons about 10 years ago) and it's good to be able to do some evening "revision"
I have my test booked at Cowley on September 15th!! Very ready for it. I have been watching your videos of & around Oxford to keep all the routes fresh, roundabouts etc in my mind - they're really really helpful! Thank you for your work & videos.
@@johndosh6832 Hi John - I PASSED!! I went toward Kassam Stadium but went into Blackbird Leys route instead. That takes you into that area, Littlemore roundabout & through Cowley shopping area. Hope that that helps!
@@Kal_El1994 that’s great news well done. I have practised that route a few times with my instructor. What manoeuvre did you get? And by any chance did you do it in the blackbird leys swimming pool car park? Once again congratulations.
@@johndosh6832 thanks!! I did a forward bay park at the Lidle - didn’t do anything at the pool car park - we stopped several times on the left on the road though

I had a really tricky couple of days and made a ton of mistakes on the way to the test centre this morning. My test route was like a greatest hits of everything I'd done wrong this week so I didn't make the same mistakes again. I came away with a pass! 😁
I went Cowley roundabout, Littlemore roundabout (popped in to Iffley I think for a parallel park) then back round the roundabout and past the Kassam on SatNav
17:37 The Test Sat Navs give the turn direction as well as exit number. GO RIGHT at the roundabout, GO LEFT at the roundabout. Straight ahead is given as CROSS THE ROUNDABOUT. The third exit given on this occasion quite often makes candidates think it is a right turn. No, CROSS THE ROUNDABOUT is straight ahead. Sensible candidates lane up on this basis, look for road signs giving destinations and road numbers then confirm with road markings on the floor. Then simply follow all the information.
I'm from NZ, lived in Oxford for 4yrs. I was legally allowed to drive using my NZ license for 6mths, then meant to swap for a UK version. Only problem was my NZ license allowed me to drive a full range of heavy vehicles, artics with trailers, buses, etc. By changing, I would only get a car license, which meant I would have to resit my heavy vehicle licenses, a very expensive task. I chose to just carry on using my NZ license. My question is, do you think what did was acceptable ?
Thank you for uploading this video.. I never seen this test route before. I have got my driving test booked on 24th of september at cowley at 2:22pm. Which test route do they normally have this time. It is a very busy time though with school traffic.
