Looks pretty good in a straight line on glass, I would like to see it on rough water with turns like when people race and trash at the local lake. Nice looking too! Its NOT stock if you have reinforced it! They are called MODIFIED after you beef them up!
So this boat is setup for saw or straight line passes for speed runs. The boat was used for some r&d and all the boats that are sold come reinforced so it’s no different then what you can buy so it is almost the same as a stock one. The stock one has carbon fiber reinforced seams and epoxy poured tips. Mine is a full inlay with poured tips. And when I’m saying stock I’m referring to the electronics I.e the motor and speed controller. And with boats a inlay provides no performance advantage other then being stronger in a crash. If I put the longer rudder it does fine in the turns and in choppy water. But once again that is not what I built it for. I have other boat that i use for bashing and heat racing.
I always hated how aquacraft boats had a cover you had to tape on. Sucks when you have to take it off. I like using one strip of tape to keep water out and not to keep from losing the hatch. Quite a pet peeve of mine. I like my zelos 36 and never tape it. Tape is a pain when nothing holds the hatch on but tape. How hard is it to make a few tabs and a few thumb screws. Besides tape can peel a paint job eventually
SgtPickledic lol bro no I don’t. At a 100 the single line won’t hold. I’ve tried. The impact blows the hatch off. So I over tape so I don’t loos my boat or my hatch 👍🏻
Why do boat manufacturers never include a rubberized foam inlay, with the edge of the lid folded down so that no tape is needed, and the edge cant flex when you latch it? My boat had never had a drop of water in it, even when I flipped it over from a nasty speed wobble. I hate taping a boat just because I opened the lid, that always seemed so annoying and never a selling point. If you want to sell a boat, show us a hull that we dont need to tape.
Im looking at this boat and trying to decide between getting the carbon fiber one or the carbon fiber w/kevlar model. Any suggestions? I am mostly interested in a boat that can take a flip without cracking the hull (this was an issue I had with the zelos miss geico)
Todd, you keep saying RTR, is that including the Props done by Paul Deity ? I want to call Bill and order one, but I want EXACTLY, what your showing!!!!
BWWGL9 no the props that I’m running are not included. But a similar cnc set are just call and order the boat and it will be like mine minus the inlay and props. You can get ahold of Paul and have him make you props

@@toddsoltero5748 Right on Todd... I think I am going to go with the one of Bill's - Self Righting Carbon Fiber DOMINATOR Mono RC boats instead made with the Black Kevlar. Have you by chance tested out these boats yet - the DOMINATOR Monos ?
The straight line performance is awesome but I want to see it run like 10 passes in a row without a break , also why do you have to almost stop to turn around?If you are looking for a SAW boat it’s perfect! But it doesn’t seem to be a boat that can be raced on a oval course. The two quick passes are not a true test of what the boat will do on an extended run.
