Finally, after 9 months since the last time I’ve filmed a side loader, I finally got to film one, unit 22104.
Of course, starting off, you immediately notice it is the same driver from unit 18107 back October last year.
He noticed me, and he gave me the green light to film him in unit 22104.
During a quick break, we talked for a bit, and then I asked what was his name and he said Alex.
We were both talking about how Oxnard is one of the only cities in Ventura County to have its own refuse service (Yes, this also includes Port Hueneme, which has their own sanitation department as well), while most of them are private companies, like EJ Harrison, Athens Services, and Waste Management.
Alex also mentioned that unit 22104 was indeed built in 2022, hinted by the first two numbers, which proves my claim correct.
After we talked, I continued to film him for as long as possibly can under my own steam.
And of course, I followed him for the next 2 hours straight while riding my bike.
Eventually, I decided to stop filming because I was burnt out for those 2 hours, and I waved goodbye to Alex as he continued to drive his route.
Anyways, enjoy the rest the video.
Huge thanks to Alex for letting me film his truck!
