1. Missing dc dimming the most. On oxygen os 12, when you reduce the brightness there is a grey tint on the screen and colors become distorted. 2. Missing the tap to wake the ambient display. I hate the new style of always on display 3. Missing the display saver clock while the device is charging. And generally speaking this update is so bad I absolutely hate it. I regret updating because almost all apps have started to lag and sometimes the screen drops to 60hz also. I cannot rollback or factory reset because of the my data. Bought 8 pro with so much excitement but now they have ruined everything. Will never buy a OnePlus device again unless they fix their shit with oxygen os 13.

Spent half of my day updating to Oxygen OS 12 and then rolling back to Oxygen OS 11. It didn't even take me 10 minutes to make the decision to roll back to OOS 11. Oxygen OS 12 is an absolute disaster and is so aesthetically unpleasing, that I just couldn't bear using it any longer than I needed to. Honestly, it looks unfinished and hurried. Will definitely not be updating my OP 8 anytime soon.

1. DC Dimming is on by default and toggle is removed. 2. Tap to show ambient display is missing (also the app icons on aod, as well as the owner info/lockscreen text, are stupid large and notiication icons are coloured on aod) 3. Lock screen notifications do not work for most apps 4. Not receiving notifications of gmail at all, in particular. Only when opened it floods the notification bar. 5. FP icon (not the effects like cosmos, ripple, but the ICON) now has an animation at 30fps, and boot animation now BECAME 30fps instead of 60 till oos 11. 6. Refresh Rate randomly dropping permanently to 60hz for no apparent reason, for extended period of times. Requires a reboot. 7. Random SystemUI restarts while unlocking the phone. 8. The app hide feature is rather 'Unnecessarily Too Secure' imo. 9. Overall UI is inconsistent in many areas, all the way from the qs tile paddings, to fonts. Few things i liked: -3 finger ss options straignt from color os, is just amazing, and works brilliantly. Long screenshots are far better than OOS. -no warning of unlocked bootloader on splash screen, kinda strange but worth mentioning. - Game assistant now lets us add ANY app to open in floating view (and yes the phone was clean flashed/factory resetted before using.) Note: When unlocked bootloader, FP sensor doesn't work and cts profile mismatches Rolling back to oos 11, wasting my day once again restoring my data.

Whatever anyone says oxygenos 11 smoothness is far better then oss12

For me the boot animation I get on the OnePlus 8 Pro (OOS 12 C.11), it's the ColorOS animation on the OnePlus logo.

There are many thing which i don't like on OOS12.1st is the display font size which were 4 to 5 size option are there in oos11 but now only 3 options available...2nd in Equaliser settings changed in Dolby Atmos which is very much dissapointed me,really man there is no more feel like oos11.. OnePlus Sans font is also different from oos11..In Lock screen when charging the battery percentage is showing and remaining time is also showing,but now only super fast charging is shown and in below vooc charge is showing while connect the charger... Though in my points of view Oxygen OS 11 is far better than this OOS12

Are the ambient gestures for music like next song, play or pause and previous song and also quick settings like torch, camera, video are present in OnePlus Nord OS 12??

The OnePlus Sans font does not work in OxygenOS12. It is present there in settings but applying it doesnt do anything. The launcher and the notification panel font is still stuck to Oppo Sans font. from ColorOS. The overall feel of OxygenOS is very inconsitant.

That animation during opening and closing apps depends on navigation gesture in OOS 10 and 11. Change navigation gesture to swipe and then the animation is same as OOS 12.

Data gets disconnected once I receive any call on my phone, which was not the case in OS11. This a huge disappointment for me in this upgrade as I have to connect my phone data for work from home purpose and calls anyway I'm receiving during that time. if anybody reading this and know the solution please let me know. Moreover, I used to use UC browser in earlier OS version but in the new OS,it doesn't works. Hated this upgradation whole heartedly.

Hello, on OS 11 on the Oneplus 8T under Navigation bar customisation option there was the option to 'long press action & double tap action' on the home, recent and back button. I can't find this feature on OS12.

The DC dimming is ON by default on OxygenOS12. You can verify that by text showing up which says "Colors may not be displayed correctly when screen brightness is low" in the Display >> Dark Mode settings when selecting the Medium and Gentle level of dark theme.

After using oxygen OS 11 for several months now when we updated to Oxygen os 12 on my 9R looks like we r using any relame or an oppo phone a and there are many bugs... Waste of updating..

Pros- Much Smoother animations Better features Raise to wake like iphones Better Fingerprint response More Responsive UI !! Better Battery Life. Better Notification Sounds. Gallery app finally Working. My OnePlus gallery was lagging from past 6 months. Cons- Some apps are not at 120hz like snapchat. So waiting for update. Slightly reduced charging speed. Shelf is useless, it is annoying and takes to much time too come. Turned it off. CHANGE IS THE ONLY CONSTANT.

There were a couple things that completely ruined my experience when I updater to OOS 12. First was the absolute garbage ram management, OOS 11 has so much better ram management where I would have apps in ram for like 2 days, and the second was the earbuds volume and difference in Dolby Atmos sounds through my nothing ear 1. OOS 12 had way less volume for the earbuds and also with less enhancements. I tried the initial stable build of OOS 12 on my OnePlus 9. Idk if his has been improved in the latest c.27 update.
