How to fill your oxygen tank. I'll walk you through the steps of transferring oxygen from one tank to another. This is incredibly useful if you have a smaller tank that you want to fill off of a larger tank using a transfill hose. This can be done for ozone therapy or for any purpose whatsoever.

The 870 connection is the standard US connection for a medical tank. The 540 connection is a standard industrial tank connection. You'll notice in the video that the large tank has a 540 connection while the smaller tank is an 870.
If you need a 540 - 540 connection, we can get that for you as well.

Hi Danna, we don't carry those transfill hoses but you CAN do it if you can find the right connection.

How do you know what adapter to by for an 870 post valve? The devilbis brand for oxygen concentrators supposedly claims that it is not compatible with oxygen tanks that are not their brand but I have a hard time believing that.

@victoriakalaydjian2935, So I am trying to sort out your question a little bit. Typically you would use either a concentrator or a tank, but not both. And I am not aware of any time at which the concentrator and tank are connected. The medical oxygen tank will accept an 870 oxygen regulator. How many d size cylinders can you fill from a 300 CU FT Cylinder before they start filling below the full Mark? Example: after 10 tanks they will be only 3/4 full

Hi, at a bare minimum you'll need two oxygen tanks and a transfill hose.

does the transfill hose allow me to connect the oxygen port on the back of a Devilbiss 10L concentrator to a tank?

Hi John. Without knowing what the port on back of your concentrator looks like or what type of port it is, we can't answer that question. If it has a 540 CGA or 870 CGA port, then it would probably work.

Hello, I'm afraid that I cannot answer that question, but I doubt it. Usually a concentrator will only put out a very low pressure which will not be enough to fill a tank...plus I would assume there are legal ramifications to filling your own tanks that way. Hope that helps

What is the working pressure of medical O2 bottles? My big industrial is at 2250psi and I don’t want to over pressure a smaller medical bottle but I can’t find a pressure rating anywhere

Hi: Do you mean the transfill hose? O3Vets sells them. We have one that has two 570 (medical oxygen tank) ends and one that has one 570 (medical) end and a 840 (industrial oxygen tank) end.

Hi Jill, medical grade oxygen is not going to explode, but it can feed a fire if it's already burning. Not something you really need to worry about though.
