Raccoon Recession Committee is a project founded by Wes Hammer in 2015. Wes recorded the first two full-length RRC albums as a one-man-band using Audacity, and some microphones from a church closet. The 2nd album, "Oxymoron" was a miracle to have been completed despite all the obstacles that happened during the recording process. Wes spent over 20 months producing this concept album about a teenage boy who can see other dimensions & worlds in his dreams. The album has lo-fi & experimental production, and guides listeners through a haunting yet beautiful journey into the mind of this young man in the story. It's a one of a kind album, and was greatly influenced by artists such as Neutral Milk Hotel, Ween, and Primus. We've grown into a 7 piece high energy band with a wide variety of material. Our music speaks for itself, and captures the ears of everyone listening!
