I've been watching you for a long time. Nothing makes me happier when you are explaining your next steps and the opponent explodes and you say "the opponent has seen enough" I giggle each time.

Jeskai mutate was a competitive deck last standard, granted it was a combo deck an not a "build a mutate pile" deck but mutate was still the main engine of the deck.

What an incredible fun and flavourfull deck! I only just watched the Deck Tech and am already very excited! A fishing bear that uses its catch to their advantage. Very nice.

I don't mind you using alchemy cards. I have no problem with them and they can be fun, my problem is more about how wizard implemented alchemy, a game already so stingy with wildcards didn't need a wildcards sink.

The only real gripes I have about this video is that... everyone keeps quitting. We can't see all of it if they just quit! I saw the commander and a few different cards, yes, but it feels like it could be so much more!

welcome to brawl. where people quit the moment things dont go there way. its pretty common for my opponents to just scoop to me countering/killing there commander.

Really, it's not ranked so there is no reason to stick it out until the last dying breath. People can get to the next match faster if they quit... and it's much better than getting roped.

@@stephenjohnson5353 theres a big difference between "sticking it out until the very end" and instant scooping at the first sign of interaction from your opponent. if you want to just play a game with no resistance from an opponent play solitaire.

Aww I wish that was a real card, bears have been weighed down by the vanilla curse just cause it’s “a callback to grizzly bears” for too long. Like the last legendary bear that didn’t want you to play vanillas was Goreclaw, and he seems kinda boring as a commander choice.

Watching brawl is exactly why I think Arena needs a Runterra style single player against various AI opponents. There’s so many cool/fun decks that opponents *will* never, and quite possibly *should* never, sit through and let you pop off. Brawl is so fun, but the vast majority of opponents scoop too early for it to be satisfying.

Not sure why people dislike Specialize. It makes for some very interesting lines of play, allows you to put multiple copies of a Legendary that usually have complimentary abilities into play, but you do need to be able to read.

In Match 5 specializing Lukamina wasn't an option, since she requires 6 lands to be in play before you can specialize her.

LVD is very in tune with his patreons, if you notice before he goes through his decklist each day he mentions how they selected the commander/deck. It really adds a lot of value

@@gregorywhatley9659 Some cards only work digitally, like the Draft mechanic on Polar Werebear. So they are specifically designed for Arena. I'm not the biggest fan of this disconnect between paper and digital because of what you experienced.

I'd like the spellbook Alchemy cards more if no RNG was involved. "Pick a card from the spellbook" Make the spellbooks smaller, make choices more meaningful, make whatever is coming predictable. Even better, picking a card from the spellbook would slowly empty it, so you'd eventually run out of cards to get unless you reset the permanent somehow. This would change the balance on many spellbook cards, but I like player skill being involved more than I do random things happening in MTG.

If you remove the randomness from spellbook-drafting in MTG or discover in Hearthstone, you're left with the problem of every game feeling the same. Like with pre-nerf companions or the Hearthstone equivalent, Baku the Mooneater and Genn Greymane, which like Obosh and Gyruda required building a deck of only odd-costed / even-costed cards.

@@MondSemmel In Bo1, the Learn mechanic is essentially a depletable spellbook. So long as the cards from the spellbooks are situational enough, all you get are more versatile cards without really pushing it. Compare it to the Tellstones or Three Sisters from Legends of Runeterra instead.

@@Xgya2000 Kind of agreed, but speaking of lessons, I did find Divide by Zero into Teachings of the Archaics a sequence so common as to be boring - precisely because that lesson (and Mascot Exhibition) were so much more powerful than the other ones.
