I had to laugh when he poured that pancake batter in the mix. My late grand-mammy Ma-Ma would never fry shrimps or oysters without it! Straight 💲& 🔥!! 👍❤
Love the videos. Thanks for the hat tip to Justin Wilson. Reminds me of watching his show with my dad. My nana was from denham springs and was childhood friends with Justin.
@@oldironsides4107 interesting take ...I would never try them raw but battered an fried....maybe . I'm far enough inland that I rarely see them an I don't have much interest in the ocean so I'll probably never try them fried either an im influenced by his sincere ethics an lifestyle so that makes a person take interest in one's life an his life revolves around food so yea im influenced by him but to judge me on this sole decision is narrow minded.
Love your videos!! I lived in Louisiana for 3 years, absolutely Love their food. But not too hot! When I tried a shrimp poboy for the first time, I took the shrimp off the bread because it really didn't make sense to me. I never tried another one. The shrimp was money Dude. The bread just threw me off. Your fan from Alabam!!
Sounds like you was pretty well hydrated. I gotta get my butt back down there some day. Can’t get good Cajun or TexMex food up here in WV. They do have good moonshine.
Man you should have never let out that cake batter mix. I've tried a bunch of different ones and omg what a different crunch and taste with oysters or shrimp.
I thought I didn’t like coleslaw either until I made my own. My mom always used mayo, sugar and milk. It was like a sweet abomination. I shred my cabbage super fine, place it in a strainer, salt it a bit to draw out the water. Mix Japanese mayo (kewpie), a bit of duck sauce, about 356 cloves of garlic 😏, salt, pepper and some Frank’s red hot seasoning to your liking. Now that’s 💰 dood! If I don’t make it too spicy even my 9 & 2 year olds love it. It’s really good too if you finely chop a bit of celery and fresh jalapeños in there too.
Hey stalekracker. I think you should built a thin wire rack that has a bit of depth but covers the entire surface area of the grease so you can fry more oysters and none will slip away. Similar to how they fry donuts except its a wire rack with strainer sized holes in it. You can really fry more things efficiently all while having good control over the temperature.
Justahn Wilsahn wit dat Pancake batter dew ...., dee ahriginahl Cajahn cook! Put dat on a cracker dew! This dude is the best Cajun cook out there, and what a character. Straight money dude, straight money.
I love his guy to death. He is one of the best RU-vidrs and short creators on RU-vid right now, but the moment he went into that poor boy, and had that money shot on the side of his cheek, had me dying.💯🤣🤣🤣🤣
