hello again grandad steve. your excellent taste in music is evident in the remixes you're uploading. this one is another of my favourites from my youth. your remixes are a delight to my ears.
Hi Daniel, thank you for your super comments. I'm not sure sure about excellent taste - I'm as guilty as the next person when it comes to loving a "pop" song - more like when you get to this age you've just been fortunate enough to hear all this great music across a wide range of genres. Lockdown (and retirement) gave me a chance to learn this new "remixing" skill so now I'm just busy loading them onto RU-vid. Thanks for listening and take care.
Thanks so much for the lovely comments. I have fond memories of all these groups (and Steely Dan are one of my all time favourites) so I'll be doing some more in the future. Thanks again for listening
Thank you. Here's what I do: I usually purchase the backing track (which has the individual stems) and then use RIPX or XTRAX stems software (or something similar - new ones are coming on the web all the time now) to split the original mp3 into 4 stems (drums, vocals, bass & other) I then ""match"" them by lining up the drum tracks of the original and the backing tracks on my DAW and then cut/paste/loop etc. to my hearts content!
