Anytime you have a new propane heater like that when you first light it you turn it on high so the gas will get flowing good and then you turn it down to low, I have seven mystery heaters. I’ve had to do that everyone of them that was brand new. My brother bought two of the Ozark trail and he let them a perfect no problem at all since according to how you do it.
I also feel like the Ozark was blocking the buddy heater during the first part of the test, and idk anyone who would use a propane heater outside in the open instead of building a bonfire.
I got to say. The Ozark Trail heater is one of my favorite products! I've purchased one for my family, friends, and myself. All have been great besides the first one I bought which came from the back of the store, likely a return someone messed up the pilot button, you could feel the difference, and pilot wouldn't stay lit.The heater is extremely hot on high, like a fire, but only last about 2 hours or right under on high. On low it runs a good 4 hours. I love these so much. For 25 bucks cheaper, you save enough to buy a 4 pack of propane and 5 bucks (which you can use to pay for the 2 yr protection plan on the ozark trail unit) So for the same price as the mr heater you get this heater, 4 propane tanks, and 2yrs of replacement on the heater. I've purchased a total of 4 so have some good testing data on em and ya, 3 of 4 were perfect still working amazing, just that back of the store one
Thanks for that. I need a heater in the ctawl space of my cabin for power outages. My pipes froze during one last year. Your review couldn't have come at a better time.
The house is blocked in some of the wind from the Buddy heater you got the the other ones out in the wind more than the Buddy heater . The house is blocking some of the wind from the Buddy heater.
Great review. Just subscribed 😃 I purchased 4 days ago a Hunter Mr. Buddy. I've tested it and I'm thrilled with it. Got it at Tractor Supply. The store manager Dennis at the Greeneville location here in North Eastern Tennessee was excellent describing to me at the store how incredible the Mr Buddies are. Just bought several acres here in the Appalations and today getting our first major snowfall. This device is a great investment for anyone. Especially if the grid was to go down. Wishing your channel much success. Wayne
@TheRealProvingGrounds thank you so much! I'm trying to get 1000 subscribers finally. Been slow lately on uploading but no more. Had a lot of hiccups moving on raw land after selling our beautiful subdivision home last summer. Take care😄
Dude must have got a bunk unit. Bought mine (Ozark) yesterday and have ran 5 bottles through it, new and refilled… I don’t think he’s inept or trying to sandbag the Ozark, the one he has seems to be underperforming/problematic compared to mine. Good luck to him and me lol
Just bought the little Buddy for my shop to keep my wifes plants alive this winter. I used a Big Buddy years ago on a camping trip and it worked great. I buy what I know works. Thanks for the vid, very informative on which to purchase.
Not a fair test ozark was on low and closer to the outside of porch and was helping block the wind from the buddy heater also redo test and switch places with them
I did that. But yall couldnt see it. Ill do another video for sure tho. If you look at the two the housing on the Ozark is much more open and susceptible to wind. Thank you so much for supporting the channel I appreciate you so much!!
I bought the OZARK. His must be bad mine works GREAT. I use in a hunting blind and it works GREAT. After you put bottle on and light first time it lights first time every time. His must be bad., I'd buy another one in a minute.
I'm curious, why is the Ozark connected to a 16oz propane bottle and the Buddy connected to a 20lb propane tank? I see the hose. Not really a fair demonstration. Playing favorites, eh?
Hello, I'm a new subscriber, and thank you for that demonstration, CAN YIU DO ONE SHOWING HOW TO HOOK OMUP THE HOSE? WITH A ILB PROPANE AND 20. THANK YOU.
Now put the ozark heater on that 20lbs tank, see how it is, 20lb tank vs. 1lb bottle is probably the difference, but maybe not. I do know this comparison is flawed.
Ya I use to often it seems they've made some improvements. I've got a few things Ozark trail over the past year that have been really good. The new knife with a flashlight on it for 10 bucks isn't bad. Comes sharp and little tougher than past ones they offered
