You realize she is known as Lyza the annihilator right? She killed a whole group of cave raiders cause they messed with her group. She doesn't exactly come off as sweet and motherly. She does some pretty fucked up shit herself as all white whistles do, something about the curse of the abyss and losing your humanity.
@@1LuvMLPFiM it's def an interesting concept, we already know she has some connection to the obots, for all we know she has a legion of dark regs down there. I'm guessing there's gonna be some kind of eldritch abomination it's possible lyza is the abomination due to the curse down there, who knows looking forward to more episodes. I'm ready for the Wakuna and Srajo encounter. I'm excited for season 2, should be out relatively soon. Srajos drip gives bondrewd a run for his money.
@@trippytanuki1171 I think he/she was talking about her immense strength compared to a normal person _"dont woosh me dont woosh me dont woosh me...."*_
But to be fair, Bondrewd did help them get to the next layer and even provided Riko with a white whistle. Plus he helped them defeat him by giving Riko a hand - Reg's hand but a hand nonetheless. He also helped Nanachi to be able to explore the Abyss and taught her most of what she knows now. Before I forget, Bondrewd also created the Type 4 Energy Rations too. Bondrewd is kind, Bondrewd is best.
When I first saw Ozen put the armor on despite how strong she was already I was like "Alright this is it, the show is about to hard end here. This woman is about to make this kid's whole soul leave the chat"
Bad End: Riko wakes up, Reg is scattered across the room like an unfinished LEGO set. Ozen taunts the absolutely distraught Riko before stalking off. Maybe not a hard end: Marulk arrives with the Subterranean Bandits, who all subsequently chip in to assist with the wholesome cooperative activity of piecing Reg back together (including an easter egg hunt throughout the Seeker Camp to find the bits that tumbled down the stairs), culminating in chucking Reg into the Resurrection Cube for a few hours.
@@legitcatalog7594 sheesh if reg died Riko wouldn’t be in the 6th layer and mitty would have still been a meat pug 💀me realizing this makes you realize how much Reg actually influences in this story and he died to a tall hot 120k strength dead surreal eerie eyed woman
@@GK-R once you enter her abode, it is by her mercy that you draw breath. You may leave only if she wills it. She doesn't kill innocents sure, but she's a sadistic sociopath. The only instance of her showing kindness is to the offspring of her only friend. If I met her or any white whistles irl I'd very much have that feeling
Lyza might canonically be the kindest white whistle there is, but Ozen is definitely the most mentally prepared, even with all she went through she still tested Riko and especially Reg power to protect her, acting as a villain in order to show them the true reality of the abyss and white whistles, which she and Lysa were exceptions. becoming part of the abyss basically means to surrender their humanity, so Ozen says that Riko isn't human in the first place in order to ease the process.
@@tomgu2285 remember that all other white whistles(except Ozen) have some hopeful/friendly name despite being anything but, well if we go by that standard, miss "the Annihilator", responsible for killing quite a few other teams, is probably quite likely to be very much a scoundrel as Ozen would put it.
@@moichispa We actually know plenty about her. She was a drunkard who created confusion whenever she went, even though she was the shortest and doll-like, she went crazy with a few drops of drink. Even so, she would be the first to arrive when help was needed and she drastically changed from her drinking habits after getting pregnant and pairing with Torka, where she became calm and focused on an objective. We also know she "forced" her team to drop the ultra-epic rare artificat Unheard Bell, which was meant to change a country, with a heavy comission on it, in favor of saving Riko inside the Curse warding box. or that's what we know...the letter telling Riko to go to the 7th layer wasn't hers, as confirmed by Ozen. it's all open to debate, even now, in the manga.
@@yamidachannel I forgot about some of the details from season 1, I only remembered the stuff from Ozen point of view. I don't read the manga so I'm avoiding spoilers on that. I'm sure we will have a lot of screentime of the mother and daughter meeting when it happens be it good or bad.
Honestly, going by the Abyss Ozen is comparatively soft and gentle. Realistically speaking none of what she did or threatened came close to the horror or danger to come. Ozen is incredibly gentle here.
At first Ozen cruelty didn't felt justified. Yes, she taught them a lesson but she was little too personal with insults, and reanimating death corpse to proof Riko that she is nothing more than a piece of moving meat felt like she had some sadistic joy in it. Then we meet Bondrewd, who dosent have any of this sadistic tendencies and dosent have single one bad emotion behind his action. Yet somehow he is much more terryfying than Ozen.
Ozen could easily be called a saint compared to Bondrewd. It's like comparing Poison Ivy to Nightshade if Nightshade also gave you explosive diarrhea while simultaneously making you vomit blood. And if you don't believe me, just ask his lunchbox.
I think the only reason Ozen did not make her last dive yet is because she wanted to keep her promise to Lyza and sent Riko to Lyza. So maybe now she will make her last dive in the near future.
dont forget she also has her job of maintaining the seeker camp. the three main jobs in the seeker camp is - guarding against lower layer monsters rising up to the surface - catching package balloons, checking the contents and fixing them (like the one Lyza sent) - shelter for cave raiders taking a break. mainly used by moon whistles and black whistles. (there was an omake of Jiruo using the camp)
@@saarkoene2761 Same, I think once Marulk grows up she'll consider making her last dive. Then again she is living pretty comfortably near the surface so maybe she'll stay where she is
@Kizui and then? Perhaps she could kill one of his bodies. But the zoaholic basically makes it impossible for him to completely disappear. And after the third or forth time he'd have a good read on what she's up to, so he can then counter her from a distance.
Physically, Ozen is definately stronger than Bondrewd but... Bondrewd has lazer canons and homing lazers too. If she has Reg level indurance(which i doubt she has) she could cover some distance to land a devastating blow onto Bondrewd. One on One first person to kill the other wins(no zoaholic), i would say ozen has the advantage here.
Early game Ozen wins; late game Bondrewd wins. Ozen knows Bondrewd and will go ALL OUT, and to go all out, it will probably be tiring. Bondrewd with the Blessing will probably outpower Ozen. I also forgotten to add somehing here... we never seen ozen fight before, she may be stronger(or weaker) than what i judge her to be.
She has 150 Thousand Men Pins stuck into her flesh. That's the strength of 150,000 human beings. Even if we say it's exaggerated, and it's only like 10 men, she's still as strong as 1,500 people. Her full strength could wouldn't send you flying it'd just put a fist shaped hole in your body.
Everyone might be hating on her cus of her personality but personally I think she is the most intriguing character of the whole show. I love her as a character
She finds it curious. In a bonus chapter not adapted in the anime, Jiruo goes to Seeker Camp to talk with Ozen. About Reg she says: "How he spoke and handled his body was similar to how Lyza did." and that before he lost his memories he must have been with Lyza.
When I started Made in Abyss all those years ago I don't think I realised quite how unhinged all the white whistles were going to be; especially because of how you obtain them. It makes me wonder how messed up Riko will be by the end of her journey.
Now that we know the origins of the white whistles and a little about Lyza's whistle, I would love to know what it was thinking being scratched at like that...
Everytime i think about how insane/inhumane white whistles have become and about their titles, I can't help but wonder, how Lyza has literally the creepiest title "Sovereign of Annihilation". We haven't seen her yet and knowing how scary the deeper layers of the abyss are and the "Other white whistles are not as nice as me", I bet her first appearance will be intense.
The fact that she in the end of the day helped and even saved their lives... she's not a good person but I wouldn't call her that evil either, saying that bondrewd is not as kind as she is, is a big understatement
I have not watched the show, but I keep seeing clips of a purple tau and all I can think is this, this show can not possibly be darker then what was show in the exclamation point video.
@@Aceshot-uu7yxwith purple tau you mean the guy who "wears" a helmet with a purple stripe on it? Yeah that's bondrewd and he does a lot of fucked up shit, idk if you intend to watch the show so i'm not going to spoiler you except if you want to
@@maggot848 thanks for that. I expect the worst but honestly, I've seen some messed up stuff and their is only so much you can show on a TV, even Carlin had limits.
Just finished season one and the movie and I can say with utmost confidence that Ozen is best girl. Also I kind of understand why Lyza chose Ozen as her mentor. *I mean who wouldn't want an unhinged Amazon dommy mommy to lovingly abuse the shit out of you?* Just me? Aight I'll see myself out.
The story you hear from the surface: "When you stare down into abyss, the abyss will stare back at you, because in deepest place on the abyss is where the devil waiting for you to fall, the bigger your curiousity grow, the bigger desire you have, the more deeper you fall into the abyss, and when you touch the bottom of the abyss, you hear his laugh from behind and you meet the devil, and you will never able come back" The story you hear from the abyss: "When you look up at sky, the sky will look back at you, because somewhere in the sky there is a reaper that wait for you to fly only to be made suffer by her, the more you climb, the more you flaping your wing, the more closer your distance with her, and when you meet her, if she didn't took you away as her new toy, or if she didn't take your soul, then you better pray there is something very very very very soft under you, the moment you meet the reaper is the moment you meet your end, and you will come back as nothing than a piece of something that was a living being"
Honestly, I rly loved her from the start, her vibe was just the best. I would have put bondrewd up there as well but i cant forgive him for cutting off reg's arm. My boy is the best cyborg. And finally there is the new white whistle introdcued in the manga (or probably first ep of s3). Not enough info on them but i already like them better than bondrewd. Finally i just cant wait for the last white whistle to show up for the way they seem to hype them up
