The thing about sleep masks, appears to be something in the US, where it is tradition to use those, pardon me saying, useless window blinders. Here in Europe we use blackout curtains in combination with external window blinders/shaders. Makes room pitch-black. I was surprised to only find black out curtains in hotels in my trips to the US.
I have had many of these types of sleep audio systems over the years including both bose models, kokoons and more. I was an initial backer with ozlo and they are fantastic. The best of the bunch no question….. That being said, 3 days ago the left bud stopped working. I cleaned it to make sure that wasn’t the problem (it wasn’t), its not my ears since I can put the right bud in my left ear and I can hear it just fine, everything is fully charged and I did several resets. Still completely dead…..so disappointing because it feels like “the bose road” for those who have been down it. Now that being said, I immediately reached out to Ozlo and they are fantastic at responding and are working on it. I REALLY hope they find the problem and fix it. I really really really do because they are top notch. I rely on these products for good sleep!! This concept of sleep aids are so important that I had to buy A20’s as a temp replacement. Can’t wait. They get here tomorrow. But hopefully ozlo troubleshoots and fixes it! Question: has anyone with ozlo’s had this problem come up and more importantly have you solved it? Thanks in advance!
You didn't address the other problem with the Ozlo buds.... the CASE. Unless plugged in, the case self discharges. This is a known bug and Ozlo claimed in an email two weeks ago that a FW update is forthcoming.
How much of a success the sleep buds will be for me will really live and die based on how comfy it is for sidesleeping and dealing with a loud snorer. I've struggled sleeping with big noise cancelling headphones for a while so really hoping these can do the trick, but I am very sensitive to sound at night.
@@SidsTips I bought the Anker A10 and while a lot of people find them good, I could NOT sleep with them. They hurt a lot when sleeping on the side. So maybe you have tried them too and compare whether the profile of the OZLOs is lower for side sleepers?
@@timsondej Interesting you bring this up. So I was sent then new A20 and I can say for a side sleeper they are fantastic. I posted a video about this yesterday: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ac5fMZ1PqEM.html - Company site ➡ soundcore.sjv.io/zNoXnW Amazon ➡ amzn.to/3yCc9Fd
@@SidsTips Hahaha, I figured you would not reply so quickly, so I just backed the Ozlo Sleep Buds 1 minute ago :D Maybe I should request a refund then...which one has the LOWER sleep profile youd say?
@@timsondej HA! For me the A20 are more comfortable in my ear. So far no pain from them. I have had some discomfort with the Bose/Ozlo. I never thought there would be a sleepbud that would be better, but the A20 is really well done including the app and features.
You didn’t mention what volume you are testing with, which affects battery life. In addition, Ozlo is promising 10 hours of battery life, and there is no way that is happening right now, you will be lucky if it lasts more than 8 hours. We’ll see what the firmware updates bring, but these are QC issues they should have worked out before now.
Thanks for this, and cannot wait to get mine. You didn't mention how much battery was left in phone free mode in the morning, where you did on the other two modes.
This is a bit concerning to me. After 4 1/2 years, my Bose Sleepbuds 2 are still showing a 66% charge in phone-free mode after sleeping with them for 7 1/2 hrs, compared to 5% with a new pair of Ozlos in phone-free mode.
@@4570levergunner I have several pairs of SB2 that I've had since they came out and have never had a battery problem. I've been testing every night for a couple of weeks now since watching this video. I've gotten 65-67% every single night with all of my SB2 pairs in phone free mode. I am now getting 22-25% with Ozlo in phone-free mode after their recent firmware and software updates. I haven't used bluetooth mode (non phone-free) with Bose for awhile, but remember getting around 42% with the SB2 when I did use it.
Hi Sid, Thanks for doing the videos, all we care about would be the battery life, so would appreciate knowing how these go with time please. Sounds like you never used the BOSE and understood the frustration of constantly sending them back when they stopped working, time and time again.
Without experience with products like these, what is the point of having the sound playing? Would having noise playing all night not disrupt sleep? I am just looking for a product that completely blocks outside noise. How would they compare to proper ear-plugs in this regard?
Some of the sounds are great to sleep to and helps with masking the sound. They won't fully block the sound. Here is video I did talking about these and another new model of another brand that came out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sMPo0drq2ek.html
Hi there. Have you seen this video? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sMPo0drq2ek.html - I have not been sleeping with either one much lately as I have not needed them, but it seems there have been several issues for Ozlo users. I do like how you can combine sounds on the A20. I will get a video up on their app soon.
My case and earbud batteries go dead after a day or two just sitting on my bedside table without me even using them. It's really annoying because when the time comes I want to use them the batteries are dead. What do I need to do to keep this from happening?
Make sure to update the firmware and that should help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1q7QMcqae4Q.html - Also, make sure to keep the case plugged in.
I think they both have very good sound can can't go wrong either way. I do like how with the A20 you can create multiple noise sounds together. Soundcore Company site ➡️ soundcore.sjv.io/zNoXnW Soundcore Amazon ➡️ amzn.to/3yCc9Fd
