Instrumental cover of Randy Rhoads' guitar parts in Diary of a Madman. Here I'm tracking the main guitar (clean L, distorted C) then I went back and tripled everything and added some overdubs in attempts to accurately recreate all his parts.

thank you much for figuring all that out for me, see,, i'm 51 now, and i just don't have the hair required to figure out that kind of complex chording anymore, i also tend to learn EVERYTHING by ear , and that kind of stuff is probably better from tab, but i get lost in tab, so i just wait for some patient young laddie ,like yourself , with enough hair to do the job, then i jast watch what you do in slow motion, and there you have it, i can add a new song to the list of shit i can play for the mice in my basement

Couldnt ask for a better cover of this song! Absolutely perfect in tone and phrasing. Definitely one of Randys best, if not his best. Without the backing track you can really here the baroque influence in his writing and playing style. Anyway, hope to be able to play half as good as you did on this cover. Keep rocking🤘🤘🤘

In 1982 I had an Ibanez Destroyer 2, I thought it was the best guitar ever. When I really got into Randy Rhoads I told my dad I wanted the Gibson You should have seen the look on his face. He told me he would do it if I kept 4.0 the next 2 semesters in High School. I made 3.4 and he did it anyways.
