Ozzy's Slingbow MKVII 'The Zombie Slayer'

You're right! - great inspiration taken from Joerg's work for this and other zombie slayer slingbows like it - the best form of flattery is immitation :-)

Cheers SMLEMK4 - this mighty slingbow weighs a hefty 1.6kg already! - I don't think I'll be adding a quiver as well! I also need to practice zombie hunting... I missed a few! (this was a concept bow I wanted to make, to be honest, I can loose off arrows quicker with a horse bow!)

It looks Operator as f**k! I find moving the targets closer helps a lot! You did get one in the eye. It's a nice looking weapon however it shoots. Be safe.

the laser was a gimick really, I sighted off my left knuckle!

+Pookie Brown Hi! I used paracord, some rubber tubing and a bit of fuel hose. Thread 4 short lengths of tube onto the paracord, one each end. Loop each end and tie a lariat loop each end to form rubberised tubed 'loops'. Then slide up the smaller tubes onto the lariat loop/knots. Use a second piece of paracord for the finger release. Slide a bit of fuel hose (nice and stiff) into the middle, then ties off onto the previous section you made, use a double or single half hitch knot to secure each end. Finally fit some bow string knocks. I also rubberised the bow string knocks for looks, I also painted some epoxy resin onto the knots to secure them!

The pipe was a bit of scrap... I think it was maybe 3" diameter, maybe 5" long? the side pieces were about 14" long/high, and about 7" wide

Ok great....I've been looking forward to this build as I like your take on the slingbow and the accessories you have added. Thank you for the info, I'll post pics when complete.

From slings and bows to guided missiles, how the hell do you think humans became such effective killers, and now Nukes. I don't want want you on my design team, your not a team player.

I never said it was 'my' idea, or that I'm a genius :-) I just just added my own ideas and some extra mods on a standard 'zombie slayer' style - that's what it's all about... 'creativity' - although my design is somewhat different to Joerg's, and many designers take inspiration from others, try it, you may like it! and create something different yourself! Good luck!

MrOzzyOsborne - also, check out Joerg's PDF design, similar but most definately different. I take inspiration from the slingshot channel, youtube, and other forums and sites - we all do that make slingshots, slingbows etc, I don't use other peoples' templates, I design mine from scratch, but I do 'copy' ideas, it's the greatest form of flattery and appreciation :-)

Ozzy Right on now your talking !! I like a Sword or Machete in that situation myself ! Plus its good cardio LOL The Kuri style Machetes seem to have a nice head cleaving weight to them ... But the chicks dig us Bow guys alot more it seems ha !!!!
