What a great decade to be a teenager . No cell phones, social media and all the electronic bs we have today. We used our brains made up games did lots of things that we shouldn't have but guess what we made it...music was so great back then!!

Ребята, мне сегодня 65, не скажу , что жизнь удалась, но я накатил стакан Jameson и кайфую под эту вечную музыку!!! В 1974 году , благодаря моему старшему брату- дессиденту я держал в руках еще почти теплый этот винил- это было НЕЗАБЫВАЕМО!!!! Спасибо ВСЕМ, кто помнит и ценит эту безумную МУЗЫКУ моей молодости!

У меня небыло брата-диссидента,но в общаге ГГПИИЯ(Горловский иняз)мы слушали Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin,Urian Heep,Deep Purple,Jesus Christ Superstar ну и тд.Так что Ваше желание подчеркнуть сопричастность к Советскому диссиденству смехотворно.

I am 70 I remember when this came out. My next door neighbor had a small record player. Brought it out on his front porch with an extension cord. He put it on. Hard to imagine a kid like me hearing this on a beautiful summer night 1973! wow

Visuals have always been a mainstay at any Pink Floyd concert as any PF fan will attest. When I saw them in 73 at the old Roosevelt Stadium for the "Dark Side of the Moon" tour, the stadium was fitted with these giant banks of surround speakers which, not only made for outstanding sound but added another dimension to the over-the-top visuals! At one point a flaming mock-up German WW2 bomber crashes behind the performing band. The very well "lubricated" audience and yours truly were, to say the least, astounded!!!!

I did laser shows for years to Dark Side. This generic visualizer has no emotion as the human made effects at Pink Floyd concerts. AI has nothing on the creativity of Dark Side like the band did. This visualizer could be used with any album.

Nannini +++, Rod Stewart, Donna Summer, Smokie, Boney M., Eagles и МНОГИЕ другие «зацепили» … До сих пор имею ВСЕ CD's - КЛАССИКИ РОКА, переслушиваю… ОООчень жаль, что УЖЕ - НЕ услышат ИХ - НИ-КО-ГДА - трупы ру. zольдат - гниющие на ЧУЖОЙ Земле Украины. Да “в тылу” - ру. sorry, бараны (86%?) терпеливо топают на пукинскую скотобойню (пу. РАЙ), ГУЛАГ 2.0 или Улус Китая… НЕ до веселья - ИМ... 1973 I was a 20yo getting stoned and listening to some of the best music there ever was. then this came out and just blew everybody away. I remember listening to it the first time, really stoned and trying to levitate to it in the dark. I was in the record business so listened to and saw a lot of acts but Floyd was my number one then and still is

Trippy man!!! Got into music and Hi-Fi in the early 70s, I don't think there's been a better era of music since. Dark Side never gets old, never will get old. Nothing like a record shop, the anticipation of getting home, sliding out the black vinyl disc, the smell, placing it carefully on the turntable, lowering the stylus into the groove, the slight surface noise introducing the sheer bliss about to emerge from the speakers, absolutely nothing like it! Still have all the vinyl I ever bought, and an extremely good Hi-Fi system which cannot be equalled by bl00dy headphones, earbuds or smart speakers! Will it all eventually fade into obscurity, only to be vaguely shown as a distant memory in some museums?! I suppose Bach and Mozart is still very much with us after more than 200 years, will the likes of Pink Floyd, Zeppelin etc endure as well?!

Sin duda este álbum es una obra conceptual maestra del siglo XX. Cumplió 50 años y su frescura musical sigue vigente e intacta con el pasar de los años, cautivando a las nuevas generaciones, entre las cuales, debo decir, mi hijo perteneciente a la generación Z disfruta hoy, al igual que otras obras de Pink Floyd. THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, según palabras de Roger Waters, él concibió está obra como una tragedia moderna en 3 actos. El primero se encuadra en la alienación de la infancia. El segundo trata sobre las inhibiciones ligadas a la sociedad (sistemas políticos, económicos y religión). El tercero alude a la batalla perdida de antemano contra la muerte y la nada que nos espera a todos al final del camino. El título del álbum no es una referencia a la ciencia ficción, sino una metáfora sobre la locura, sobre todo lo que es capaz de volver loca a la gente, es decír, los males del mundo moderno (el trabajo repetitivo, la falta de comunicación, la codicia, el éxito, etc), y lo que atormenta al ser humano desde siempre (el paso del tiempo, que conduce inexorablemente a la muerte). Está implícito el miedo a la posibilidad de caer uno mismo en la locura. El mensaje de Waters está dirigido a todo el mundo, en dónde la misión innegable en la que todo ser dotado de razón debe embarcarse es justamente escapar de esa "cara oculta" y descubrir por fin la luz.

БЫЛИ времена... БЫЛА - ОТЛИЧНАЯ музыка МОЕЙ Ленинградской МОЛОДОСТИ! КЛАССные девчёнки, дешёвое вино, беззаботность, вера, что «всё впереди» … TOTAL FAN! Сейчас мне 68, «вышел из большого секса», но зато - СЧАСТЛИВО ЖИВУ (+семья) с 1990-го в Канаде... Лично Я «вырос» на группах: Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, T.Rex, CCR, AC\DC, Black Sabbath, The Doors, David Bowie, Alice Cooper, Procol Harum, Chicago, The Doors+++ Конечно и ХОРОШАЯ (!!!) «попса» типа ABBA, итало-диско, особенно A. Celentano, G. Nannini +++, Rod Stewart, Donna Summer, Smokie, Boney M., Eagles и МНОГИЕ другие «зацепили» … До сих пор имею ВСЕ CD's - КЛАССИКИ РОКА, переслушиваю… ОООчень жаль, что УЖЕ - НЕ услышат ИХ - НИ-КО-ГДА - трупы ру. zольдат - гниющие на ЧУЖОЙ Земле Украины. Да “в тылу” - ру. sorry, бараны (86%?) терпеливо топают на пукинскую скотобойню (пу. РАЙ), ГУЛАГ 2.0 или Улус Китая… НЕ до веселья - ИМ... Царство Небесное ВСЕМ СЛАВЯНАМ, сгинувшим за хотелки сЦаря и его воровскую лживую власть, УНИЧТОЖАЮЩИХ Россию и ГРОБящих её НАРОД… Аминь.
