Pink Floyd was my dads favorite band. Now its one of mine. I sang Wish You Were Here at his funeral. Hardest thing I've every had to do. I always associated the song with him. As he was my best friend.
There will never be a better band than Floyd! So blessed to have been on Earth to hear them. Most of the music out now, is crap and devoid of talent and inventiveness!
How long has this video been in existence? And why have I discovered it only today, in 2024? This is my favorite band of all time. Been into Pink Floyd since they released Atom Heart Mother in 1970. Was fortunate enough to see them in concert twice. This video defies my ability to adequately express how much it blows my mind with profound love and affection. It's brilliant and touching, relevant and beautiful. Now I get to make sure other people know about it too. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Absolutely amazing. PS: The audio quality is astonishingly top notch. If I had an extra thumb, I would give this video three thumbs up.
I had already released this album track by track, but figured it might be useful to have it compiled into its intended form ! In fact, Pink Floyd sued EMI in 2010 because EMI was selling individual tracks, and Pink Floyd insisted that their albums were intended to be listened as a whole to preserve the artistic integrity. I couldn't agree more with that notion when talking about this album in particular. Let me know what you think! Feedback is welcomed :)
Ace space themes ..I love Pink Floyd you've done well knowing What prompts to use I suppose. I tried night cafe AI artworks but was in a sombre mood some of it was too heavy. These videos seem much more inspiring.
1978 - 15 years old- -- friend and I smoked what he called " Black Hashish" -had this playing on a cheapy turn table that would come back and replay the record after it was done - me sitting on a recliner for what it seemed hours just having in my mind's eye all kinds of images ,colors and feeling every note from each instrument unable to move !!🙄🙄!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!!
I love hearing stories like this. They really transport me to the time and place in my imagination. Thanks you for sharing. I remember when friends would come over for the first time, I would put on the movie "The Wall" and we'd get like a kite. haha, and the movie "heavy metal"..oh boy lol
You do the same! Thanks for taking the time to give it a watch! Feel free to share your thoughts on any of my other vids if you watch them, feedback is welcomed! @@IncendiaDivinus
...and I am you and what I see is me. No, really! Same age, same experience! Maybe not the hash but hopefully it was some decent mekky! Stoned none the less. But yeah. The early discovery of this and all of Floyd's back catalog after my brother got me Dark Side for my 14th birthday in 77 left an indelible taste and feeling that returns ever so slightly still after all these years! Life is indeed a trip. When Floyd is the conductor, an unforgettable one! Peace!
Ahh the music of my youth. ... we didn't have such cool background videos like this, but we thankfully did have Floyd and some of the greatest music ever! Thankz for the share.
The heart and soul that found this whilst young, who sat in the dark listening, smoking, thinking, that person still today, at seventy years of age, still exists. It's something in the music.
My son loved PF (got it from his dad) and when he passed away we put a huge PF flag on the wall for his viewing. Wish You Were Here and Shine On still get me all rubbery, but I still love it. It reminds me of my own mortality and that we should live every day to it's fullest. Every so often Breathe will play somewhere and I always think it is him sending a message.
Agreed. I’m 60 and I can’t count how many times I tripped over someone leaving this album on the floor. 😂😂😂. It was glorious times. I still listen to it constantly and it never gets old. I never burn out on it. Always called Pink Floyd perfection. Just would like the enhanced version one more time.
Thank you Source for letting me live in the time that I did. Awesome, when music was music and our country was truly beautiful. The bands that I saw....Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Rolling Stones, TREX, BTO , Iron Butterfly, Thin Lizzy, Jefferson Airplane, The Zombies, Arthur Brown so many more!!!!!!WOW!

Thank you TheEightth dude! I know the album but always appreciate the time stamp. P.S. Is this the Roger Waters "digital remastering" or the original album from 1975? I think Waters did a remastering of this album.
I had Pink Floyd on cassette recorder. I was listening, with my headphones on when the 1977 earthquake struck the city of Bucharest. It kept me calm not to panic and I had to stay inside my room until it finished the teribile tremor, shaking the hell out my block of flats. I still listen Pink Floyd because has so much meaning to my life. At that time, My seven years old brother was very curious about the sound of acoustics :) I knew He was listening because the tapes were all over the place :))
No album is just one song. Each album is a song in and of itself. Not the greatest hits album, A collection of great dance songs. No. The albums those songs came from, and the penultimate album, Division Bell. All are masterpieces which will certainly stand the test of time.
Played this at my cousin Lance's funeral. This was his favorite band. He died at 20 yrs old. After 30+ years, when I hear this song, I wish he was here
What's to even say? Gone way before before his time but God called him home. Hope you find solace, we all are in this together. People do care, even if we never meet.
Yes, very trippy visuals and the music is sublime.. Was this a Syd Barrett original composition? and did Roger Waters contribute to the lyrics? ZAwesome 🎵 song btw
This. music was just unbelievable when it came out. I was a teenager then, my younger brother and I bought the record and went into a state of shock for some time.
Im 79yrs young and still missing Syd everyday, he was one of a kind, and was very tragic how it all ended for the great Syd, but im very happy the band moved forward with some of the greatest music ever recorded!!
I wish I could afford to contribute to artists and their development. Pink Floyd music always brings back great memories. Their talent is so remarkably advanced. Thank you for creating it 🎸
That is such total BS about utube. Greed greed everywhere. Your videos are not repurposed at all. It comes from your interpretation and great creativity. Keep on keeping on Trip . You have people that actually do really appreciate and admire totally YOUR videos that you create. To absolutely timeless music.
If there is God (Supreme Reason, or so), the Pink Floyd's music is the human expression of this existence! Thank you for the eternal creations during these 20 years of common work. Long life forever ❤
в 15 лет, и With You... в 17...
I have always liked Pink Floyd. Now its David Gilmore. A very talented guitar player. I had the VHS Pink Floyd The Wall. That was back in high school mid to late 80s. Amazing stuff, all of it. Trippy in the best way. 😎✌🌼
Watching this on shrooms makes it so meaningful tbh. Just turned 23 and I'm starting to feel more young somehow. Just gotta appreciate life rather than wishing there were more to it. Breathe in the Air.
Same thing here. I started with mushrooms when I was 14. I really believe that they did alter my life to better. All my other friends went towards alcohol and unfortunately hard drugs and some of them didn't make it. But mushrooms let you see what's good what's bad and in-between and somehow puts it together in your head organized. I call it an RESTART.. every time I start to loose control I eat mushrooms and everything is fixed for next 6-12 months.
@@trippyvortex Thank you! None, my soul was just blissful, there was complete delight, while the video lasted, I absorbed every note, every chord like a sponge, it was impossible to tear myself away from it, it was like a drug, and not only this particular video, but every a piece of music by Pink Floyd, you think, well, now the next one will be the same thing repeated, but no, each is a work of musical art, each is special, each has such an impact on the soul, it’s something incredible. And the musicians are such masters!...
