2 tips for Minos: - CRUSH: it happens when you're too close to him while he's airborne . It's a more powerful version of DIE meant to punish careless gameplay - Pattern breaking: the reason why Minos's pattern breaks sometimes is because during his combos he checks if you're airborne. If you are, he will end the combo early and go for an attack that's more effective on an airborne target. Basically, the faster you get back on the ground, the better. By the way, your 1HP attempt ended because you walked into your own explosion

Sawblades are meant for the floor, but they can be a good source of damage on larger enemies such as Flesh Prison, Hideous Masses and the Leviathan.

P-1 is the game thickening your skin and building up your patience. P-2 is the test of perseverance and will. P-3 will be the test of pure focus and mental endurance.

It’s every ultrakill player who slowly forgets how hard levels and bosses were because of how much better we’ve got

Seeing Merg progress in skill so much is honestly so cool to see, seeing him attempt to P rank P-1 is really cool, as someone who has P ranked both P-1 and P-2 on violent I can say it’s no small feet, good stuff Merg!

Minos Prime is so far one of the most enjoyable boss fights for me. I loved him, and i hope you feel the same after you're done with him.

It's crazy to me that you learnt how to get to the door so quickly by jumping into the void and near the entrance, it took me a while to learn how to do that, what I do is that I jump in the exact same polygon direction you did in 19:50 and lightly press "right" two times and hope it worked, usually I fall near the entrance and then dash torwards it, but you did it better than me and faster even, Nice! Also Minos' DIE attack was also my biggest issue with this fight and it's funny to see it's also the same for you, that attack really DIES me I GOT IT, I figured out how to do it, (Please read all) Merg, when you are in a level, try to press with the arrow keys (Up Up, Down Down, Left Right, Left Right, B A) to open up the cheats, (IMPORTANT, WHEN YOU LEAVE A LEVEL OR RESTART, THE CHEATS AUTOMATICALLY TURN OFF, SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT) you can activate something called Fullbright, ONLY USE THAT ON PRACTICE RUNS, that is REALLY HELPFUL to see where you are going and in what direction to lean torwards, I learnt exactly what sequence of inputs I have to do to reach the entrance, and Fullbright really helped with that, I highly recommend doing that just for learning, once you leave the level the cheats automatically disable. YEs, the more restarts you have the more it lowers your rank, it's not only when you reach 10 restarts or something, but the more restarts you have, the lower your final rank will be, to the minimum of a D

Ahhh... So concludes life and times of Mergs ultrakill series for the next 2 months...

Here are some good tips: At the start of the level you can keep the hook button pressed so that it lights all the way through till the mouth like gate when you are falling. Also when the Minos cutscene plays you can lay down a chainsaw trap in such a way that as soon as he spawns all of the chainsaws hit him allowing you to blast him at the same time too. Also chainsawing the prison with 1 single magnet on it can do a lot of damage and it takes reduced damage when healing from the eyes. I hope you found these tips useful.

Watching your previous video made me want to Do P-1 again. I've beat my record thanks to that! It ain't a P rank but 6 death (all on Minos) in 4:59.671 with B style is pretty neat!

thats probably the best part about minos prime. he's a huge roadblock the first time you fight him, but eventually you can P-rank him every time with ease. its really a great boss design.

5:55 merg's "get the hell outta here" sounds so cute but so intimidating at the same time lol. That's honestly the best part of this game, when the foes that previously gave you trouble become fodder. And not due to a crazy upgrade or an op weapon, but simply PURE SKILL.

Merg you should use the shainsaw gun at the start of the flesh prison fight to get some free damage without the flesh prison healing bar going down. Also your doing great keep it up ;) PS you can avoid minoses "punch" attacks by just moving right or left without dashing

Don't worry Merg, and I am serious when I say this, you are not sounding arrogant at all, it really is a matter of time until you get the P-Rank, you are really close to it, in those two last attempts if it wasn't for the restarts the Time and Style would have been an S, it's good to believe in yourself and be able to see yourself achieving the P-Rank soon and be confident that you are really close to doing it! Love how last episode, when Merg first beat the First Prime Sanctum, he was completely caught off guard by King Minos. However even then, he realized he couldn't just fluke his way through, and despite how crazy King Minos and his insane speed was, even then Merg began to find the weakness to his martial arts, and how to fight back against it. Now, Merg, parries in hand, only has to build upon the cracks he found in Minos's power, and his Flesh Prison. Now all he has to do is truly show how _weak_ Minos really is. Wow! I underestimated you Merg. I really didn't think you'd be ready to p-rank P-1 this quickly, but here you are! Here are three tips to make your life aeasier: - Prime souls are even more anime in the air. They'll cancel their attacks to combo you, so stay on the ground (do jump over the shockwave though). - You should nuke Flesh Prison JUST before it finishes spawning all of its eyes. This way, the green bar doesn't deplete because of the nuke and new eyes don't spawn immediately. The timing is kinda tight, but you'll know you got it right because you'll get loads of time without the eyes. - Your cannonball + railcannon combo is okay, but here's a really simple tech that deals MUCH much more damage: Aim straight up and throw 4 coins into the air. Then shoot them with your blue revolver's charge. To prevent the coins from hitting the floor early, use your hook. You probably wanna throw the coins while minos is doing his cutscene, and then skip when you're ready to shoot. Also final note, don't forget nuking when you start p-ranking act 2, you'll need it

Tip for anyone trying to p-rank Minos: Don’t ever projectile boost. It takes your parry for about 1 second, and a lot can happen over 1 second. It’s not worth risking a run for a pretty mediocre amount of damage. Same goes for the P-2 man I suppose, since himand Minos are pretty similar.

The dash Iframe, you can practice it by parrying "Judgement" when the hitstop occurs (when time freezes momentarily when you parry), you dash, avoiding the explosion. The timing is very forgiving once you know and can be used in a variety of situations. Good luck Merg, love the vids.

On the Flesh Prison, place a magnet on it before firing saws at it (preferrably at one of the thickest parts). This means that your saws will be constantly hitting it, rather than bouncing around the room, and will deal massive amounts of damage.

"Judgement yourself" -Merg 2023 As I said, Minos is pretty consistent. You will see improvement on a lot of your runs. Keep the grinding, Merg, if you can get this P-rank, Act II P-ranks won't be that difficult!

2 Tips for the Beginning of flesh prison and Minos prime, right before the flesh prison fight, equip normal marksman and look up, then jump and throw 3-4 coins and switch to the alternate normal blue revolver, and charge up the 2nd fire and shoot the coins, it does massive damage and then do the core eject. do the same coin thing right before the start of Minos prime's battle. And also parry any attack you can. You'll need all of that style and health for phase 2. just don't use knuckleblaster.

Hey Merg, it's awesome seeing you progress and improve each time you drop an Ultrakill video. Seeing you figure out these combat "puzzles" is always so satisfying. If I had any tips to give you for Minos Prime, it'd be: 1. Sliding avoids all of Minos' attacks like it does on Gabriel, even his "Die!" attack. You'd just have to hop over the shock wave afterwards. 2. Whenever he's about to do his snake projectile aka "The Golden Boi," walk backwards while facing him; It'll help create space for more time to react and will parry right back to him since it'll go straight back in his direction 3. Judgement still does the damaging shockwave when you parry. Dash around the same time you parry to avoid it. 4. Always stay on the ground; Minos can combo moves in the air and can kill you quickly. If he knocks you up, ground slam to get to the floor ASAP. Good luck, Merg! Can't wait to see you tackle P-2

i found this comment on another video of youtube, some interesting facts about minos: "just a few reminders about minos: - when he says WEAK. he's saying it to himself, not V1 - his crown resembles buildings because he always cared about his people more than himself, putting them above himself - he has no face because he does not consider himself important (or selflessness?) - his transparency and visible heart may represent his honesty and kindness - when he moves around the arena to attack V1, along with the explosions and shockwaves he makes with his attacks, those are not fancy abilities like teleportation, that is a display of his raw strength and movement speed"

Hey Merg you can quickly click tab twice to make you see the score at all times

Good video, couple tips: 1. Some moves like "JUDGEMENT!" Are parriable but it will be redundant due the after explosion but dashing when the explosion happens will give you frames of invincibility causing the full effects of parrying 2. Minos Prime also has stamina, and his attacks cost stamina except for his "WEAK" phase which gets rid of all his stamina costs and most his parry moments

Biggest piece of advice I ca give is to always look in minos's direction. By turning around, you can't see what attacks hes doing or parry any projectiles. You can slide backwards at the same speed as turning back and sliding forwards
