For the ground floor having slabs on fill, disregard the weight at that level.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION: FAQ Q: Sir, di po ba dapat 0 kN yung sa ground floor kasi nagrerest siya sa ground? (Sir, shouldn't the weight of the ground floor disregarded since it is resting on the Ground itself?) A: More often than not, the WEIGHT OF THE GROUND FLOOR IS DISREGARDED. And thus, you are indeed correct. (0kN on the ground floor) Q: Then why did you include the weight of the ground floor in your computation, sir? A: I assumed that the weight of the ground floor rests on the structure and not on the ground (Which is very rarely considered). Obviously, the value solved here will not be equal to the base shear computed as if the ground floor weight is disregarded. But would definitely give a more conservative value.

so if Ft value is zero since its less than 0.07 so force at top is 0 KN also ? paano kaya e solve yung shear at moment sa taas?
