I really like this kit 😊. I know it has fitting issues but i still get one every once in awhile. I have several hanging and one on the shelf awaiting to take off or refuel . Haha . A couple still in the box . 😅. The music drowned you out had to struggle to hear what tips you had . Maybe sub titles 🤔.

I built this kit several times going all the way back to when I was a child in the early 80's. The last time was about 10 years ago. With the "new" Airfix kit, which I have also built, I likely will never build the Revell kit again. It has a very good outline, but the flash and fit problems are just no longer acceptable in today's model building age. I recall it was a putty nightmare. I spent about 95% of the time filling and sanding and only about 5% of the time was spent on assembly. It turned out good for what there was to work with, but almost all of the surface detail was sanded away and had to be re-done. Brought back some fond memories of my childhood though. In my opinion, the Airfix kit is, as of this writing, the defacto standard for 1/48 P-40B. It's a great kit!

I built that kit when it was made by Monogram in 1976.

I like the enthusiasm. Consider less cheerleader music, and set as background. Your audience can't hear or understand what you're trying to tell them. As a modeler, this is a very accurate example as the P-40 had lapped panels, not recessed. It really just needs an updated cockpit, like true details. Fun kit for less than 20 USD, not bad considering the molds were minted in 1964!

25:00 I find that Blu Tac works well rolled into sausages for this. The parts not to be painted are covered with tissue like Kleenex but split from 2 layers to one layer and then all you need to do is tear it roughly to shape and lightly press the tissue onto it. Lots of different ways to do things I know but his way works for me. 32:10 I find a sludge wash works well on lighter colours such as the underside of aircraft

If yove read reviews of every P40 that been released since this kit came out its always same complaints that cockpit floor is incorrect,never knew a aircraft floor was that over engineered maybe that it couldn't be replicated in scale?🙄 Jman
