You are correct about the props on what you said. The 2 blade gives more speed and the 4 blade is for agility and maneuvers. Very cool little bird! I was smiling along with you guys watching.. there's just something about that P-51 airframe that's timeless.
Thank you for the info and the kind comment. It makes our day, and I'm really happy you joined in the fun with us. I'm glad to learn it wasn't just my mind playing tricks and that the props really were causing different flight behavior.
Love your enthusiasm. These planes got me into R/C flying from cars and boats. Now I have more of these planes than the rest put together. Almost indestructible. Great fun. Not going to harm anything. I tend to fly really low and close to myself because you can. And you can practice so many challenges. I especially go out on different weather, windy days to test my skills, hover, fly backwards, and go super fast etc. I've remodelled some into different colours (Zero, Kittyhawk). My Mustang has just today completed its 69th flight day video and still somehow going strong even after five major crashes that ejected the engine - I just glue it back in and away we go. Only changed the prop saver. After over 200 days flying my squadron (6 Spitfires, 4 Mustangs, 2 Corsairs, 2 Bf109s, Zero, FW190, 2 P40s) I am still having such fun. I used to be a model railway channel, now R/C planes more.
They're pretty fun. It's tempting to buy too many of them and not focus on the other aspects of the hobby. I fly RC and Control Line. I need to work on my Control Line fleet but I've been playing with these little buggers instead. They don't weigh anything and the foam they're formed out of is very resilient. I have only broken one prop after many arrivals that would have damaged others and THEN it was only because I went full throttle into a tree. (big gust of wind, plane just went 5 feet sideways). When I was in junior high building scale WWII plastic models, I used to dream about putting electric motors in them with batteries and flying them but it was just a dream. These look better then my models did (no artsy tendencies in my bones evidently) and actually fly like I pretend back then. So fly em, then put them on the shelf or hang them from the ceiling. Look ma, I'm 12 again.
I never flew one in my life and couldn't believe how easy this plane was to fly. Doing loops within the first minute is something I never expected. It's tough too. The air to air footage montage was as much fun to film as it was to watch. At least I hope it was fun to watch.
Definitely fun to watch! Ours are some of our first flights also. The tech at such a cheap price is do fun! 👍🏻 Keep up the great videos. It’s nice to appreciate all RC’s!
Thank you buddy. Tado is getting good with that drone. That plane flies remarkably easy too. It's durable as well. We haven't stuck it into a tree just yet, but I'm sure we will soon.
It's good to see people who don't have any experience with rc planes having fun. Thanks to gyro stabilization anybody can get into the hobby now. They didn't have gyros when I started. Good thing I spent hours playing Rouge Squadron on the N64 and Crimson Skies on the X box.
Yeah this plane is a great plane for a new flyer, full range of control surfaces, really good stabilizer at work, super cheap, it's just a really good plane for a beginner, but I bet an advanced pilot could have a good time with one as well.
probably a little overpriced for a foamy but that gyro does look pretty sweet we used to just use engines to get up to gliding altitude on our foam flying wings, if you can find a good ridge that faces the wind direction, ridge soaring is a lot of fun. Seagulls do it for a laugh I think
Toward the end of the video, after the aerial chase footage, I threw it like a paper airplane and it soared so smoothly and landed itself, I was thinking it would be fun to toss it off something really high up.
@@Rek_Rc its harder to find a ridge with the wind exactly perpendicular than you might think, but it means you can just zig-zag back and forth without going anywhere. There's a nice bowl that makes an updraft near me, but its rarely blowing the right direction for the effect
very kewl little plane. That gyro system is really good at keeping the plane level. Keep in mind, smaller planes don't really like windy days. Bigger planes handle wind MUCH better. Of course, bigger planes cost a lot more. For the money, that's a heck of a plane and great for a beginner. (the flappy things are ailerons)
Ah ailerons! That was the word that kept escaping me. Thank you! I actually did learn a valuable lesson about wind, small planes and trying to take off in it....BAD idea. Tado watched be instantly stuff it and break a prop within about 8 feet hahahahaha.
Thank you so much! We're total noobs when it comes to planes, but that one was so much fun, we'll be featuring more aerial RC very soon. I'll look into the BF109, we might even have it on the channel.
These planes are cool. Neat auto features. We’ve posted some plane and boat videos also. We are not becoming a boat of plane channel either. It’s just fun to dip in all parts of the hobby land, air and sea (aka ponds 😬) Awesome Rek!!! 👍🏻
Very impressive. For the price and how durable they are you could have dog fights with them and probably not break anything. It's quite possible I could even fly one. lol Super cool plane and film crew. 👏✈
I know for sure you'd be able to fly one with no issues. It's that easy. When it landed itself with the throw test I realized in that instant just how user friendly it really was. It does the flying, I just picked the direction really.
Always a pleasure to watch all the cool RC products you come across. If I do decide to try my luck at flying this would be the perfect unit. Great job ✈@@Rek_Rc
@@Rek_Rc don't get me wrong I love cars bikes etc but nothing compares to the buzz of flying a machine haha brings the kid right out of you. So many opportunities and different things to learn as well once you have got past the omg I am flying stage 🤣🤣🤣love this hobby
@@Rek_Rc I have been doing a under 50 bux section of planes lately and have been blown away by what you can get for such a small price. Check out the pinecone Model sg f22 for 30 odd bux 😮it is awesome ❤❤❤❤
@@propgear123 it feels so much different than a drone as well. The only thing a plane and a drone share is the sky, otherwise it's two completely different feelings of flight.
@@Rek_Rc absolutely bud. With a drone you can hover for a sec get ya bearings take ya time, with a plane once you take off you either land it or crash it haha no time to relax. I love chasing planes as well with a drone lol wish I could do both jobs at once 🤣🤣🤣 chasing a plane looks easy but man it is hard. Great job ❤️❤️👊🏼
Nice foying guys, I love flying, I like building my own designs, Its just a different feeling to fly something you built yourself, Cool little mustang, Love these little WarBirds...
Flying is tons of fun. Never flew a plane before this, and now I see why people who do fly them really love them so much. Building one sounds interesting.
@@Rek_Rc If you want to get into flying I always suggest getting something like an AeroScout 1.1mm, learn how to fly without a gyro soon as possible, trust me it's like taking the training wheels off a bike lol that's what I did anyways then I started building my own, Feel free to check out my newest build, it's just a couple short flights, I put my AeroScout wing on the fuselage in my last video and it flew fantastic, I couldn't believe how stable and how much authority it had, I put a bunch of LED lights on it so I can fly at night, hehe, definitely a super fun hobby , I love pretty much everything RC 😁 If you have any questions I'd be glad to help ya out, Love your content, keep it coming...
IF those are indeed flaps then they are what you would call flaperons. They operate as ailerons and flaps when you need them. OR FLAPPY THINGIES when you need them🤷 potato, potato🤷
@@Rek_Rc I have an f16 80 mm edf that have ailerons that are used for flaps on take off and landing. RC planes and helicopters have come a loooooong way over the past 50 years!! I have a helicopter that is no bigger than my hand that I can fly 3d with which just means inverted flight. Pretty amazing considering. And I used to have a four blade drone that was maybe a little bigger than a half dollar that was pretty fast. Not sure if they're real or not but I've seen drones no bigger than a fly that shoot video!! NUTS!!!!!!!!!! We will keep going with technology until we blow ourselves up!!🤦
