@@accuwarm7827 can i kindly add another question, with relay amendments the client now can have towel rails circuit on at same time as the CH. but it does now mean that the CH circuit can be switched on/off when desired temperature reached which is not the case in the towel rail bathrooms. What i mean lets say the bedrooms reach desired temp of 21’ the heating will switch off. The bathrooms where there are towel rails which generally are smaller could possibly reach uncomfortable temp without being able to switch off unless u switch off the heating for the rooms. Hope I explained my question properly 🙈. Now is there away or circuit or relay arrangements to lets say install a temp sensor or thermostat in bathrooms (towel rail circuit) to command the relay box you installed to become De- energised and thus close the towel rail zone valve. Or possibly install a relay before the relay setting you done that is connected to a temp sensor switch ? Or possibly the demand TO pin 7&8 goes first to temp sensor in bathrooms and if there is a demand then it switch on the relay set you done ! Hopefully someone got answers

@@K-carbon if a motorised valve fails you can manually set it to open or closed. if a non return valve fails you have limited manual control.

@@cliveramsbotty6077my experience of motorised valves is they won't open when they fail as I assume you know they sole purpose is to stop the circuits mixing.. If a NRV fails worst will happen is the circuits may start to heat if one pump is on and the other is off vice versa.l have never seen a NRV to fail as in not open it always breaks as in stays open. But if a motorised valve fails and they will fail most of the time they won't OPEN and to add insult to injury especially if its an older pump is uses it can and does cause the pump to fail completely at times (especially if no bypass is fitted) on the circuit and with the newer pumps it cause the pump to shut down (throw a fault light/code pump blocked) when the motorised won't open in this applications.There a poor choice in that application then you get a phone call from the client I have no heating .

i don’t think that would work because we only had one pump for the two hot water cylinders so when one cylinder needed heat it would also open the two port on the other cylinder

I've gone to a few where folk have nipped wires inside. Watch out for that Josh, incase that's what's happening to you - easy enough done.

It’s on the orange wire so the pump will turn on when the valve is open. Orange is connected to a micro switch in the valve that becomes live when the valve opens.

Hi mate, how do you mean pull current from the relay coil? Would the power linking over from the coil to power the zone valve over be a current? It’s all new to me and happy to revisit this if it isn’t correct

@@accuwarm7827Hi, no you did a great job. Just wanted to warn folks that relays are strictly to bring the contacts together from the coil via a low voltage to then control a higher voltage and current on the other side of the relay. It's similar to programmable logic controllers when I started I thought the controller provides power but it doesn't which is similar to that heating programmer you were using it's literally just triggering the coil then the tower radiator will get it's power from essentially a different circuit thus pulling the current. Nice work 👍
