We're just home from P&O Arvia and we want to show you all the best bits!
We joined P&O Arvia in Antigua for a 7 night Caribbean cruise., which included the ports St Kitts, Martinique, St Lucia and Barbados.
We flew over to Antigua on Virgin Atlantic, which had been chartered by P&O Cruises, so all guest were joining P&O Arvia. On arrival we were taken directly to P&O Arvia. We had booked an Inside cabin and have the P&O Ultimate Drinks Package.

We are bananas about cruising! We started cruising in 2014 by doing a mini cruise on P&O Aurora. Making videos of our cruises and sharing our experiences has become our hobby - the complete video is filmed and edited on an iPhone. The videos are our opinions and experiences while on board - really they are us having fun and brining you along with us!
We may not be the youngest cruisers but we are trying to break the stereotype that cruising is for retired people. On a cruise you will normally find us wondering around the ship taking in the atmosphere (and working our way through the cocktails).
We have sailed on P&O Cruises, Cunard Line, Princess Cruises, MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Avalon Waterways. We'd love to try Ambassador Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), Fred Olsen, Holland America (HAL), Celebrity, Disney Cruises, Carnival Cruises, Costa, Aida, Marella and Celestyal.

Our pleasure, glad you enjoyed. The submarine was fun and actually cheaper booking via P&O than direct. Completely agree, Arvia has a really nice warm feeling when it comes to the decor, Iona can be cold and clinical. Both lovely ships though

@Cruise Monkeys Marella is very very relaxed indeed. The all inclusive package is a massive bonus. The ships are a little old but have worn well. We have sailed with them a few times. You can't beat the Sky Princess though. We absolutely loved that one. I'm looking forward to the Celebrity vlogs as we are looking at that one soon. Thanks again to you both for the videos too.

Oh yes you guys know i love my thermal suite 13 more days u til i am in that hydrotherapy pool. Bushwhacker in st Thomas, the original I had one and a half and was out the rest of the day 😂. You were in St Lucia where I was there and I did a Pitons cruise same day but was sunset one so captured pics both in the daylight and on way back , you could have been leaving Sugar Beach when we arrived 😀

Yeah, it’s a fab ship. She was fantastic- she’s on a few more P&O cruises over the coming months. Yes, we do as for us it’s worth it - 6 alcoholic drinks and 4 soft drinks and we break even - we discussed it in more detail on the live on Friday :)

Hi! Your videos are great really helpful and engaging. We're going on our first ever cruise on P&O Arvia to the Caribbean for 2 weeks next November! I noticed you booked a lot through Caribbean Island tours and I was just wondering if you'd recommend them for first timers? First ever cruise??! Oh wow what an amazing one to do, 14 nights in the Caribbean will be amazing! Yeah, we booked a few now with Owena (m.facebook.com/groups/caribbeanislandtours/) and to be honest, they’ve been fantastic, proper local guides who are so passionate about the islands. Don’t let the ‘ship will leave without you’ stories and sales patter worry you, the local tour guides depend on cruise customers so will always make sure they get you back on time, sometimes they’ll ask you for your departure time and will tailor the tour a little or reduce times to make sure they get you back on time! Most of ours were a small deposit then cash to the guide on the day, so you know they are getting that and not a small cut like they would on cruise line organised ones. Hope that helps 😀

St Kitts 1/2 Island tour ($50pp) and Martinique Prates tour (€80pp) were booked independently via Caribbean Island Tours on m.facebook.com/groups/822293368132085/ The P&O excursions we booked were at Lucia pitons cruise (£50pp) and the Atlantis Submarine in Barbados (£79pp). Prices from memory but gives you an idea 👍

Testing not required, just recommended, also there are no vaccination or testing requirements for most of P&O’s holidays from the 1st of March. Hi, we did a mix of both. St kitts - half island tour & Martinique Pirates tour booked via m.facebook.com/groups/822293368132085/ St Lucia Cruise to the Pitons and Barbados Submarine via P&O. The P&O ones were sold out mostly online but once on the ship they had a wider selection available and not extortionate pricing, the submarine was cheaper than P&O than booking direct so it pays to research a little. Tours always available in port too from local taxi drivers etc, handy if you just want a beach day.

It’s hard to say really, they change all the time and can be different from cruise to cruise. Usually early evening would imply 4 but then again it could be 6, it’s hard to say. Sometimes you can Google the actual ports cruise ship schedule and that might have times, however we’d still take that with a pinch of salt. If your excursion is through P&O direct you have nothing to worry about they’ll make sure your back in time. We booked our trips through Caribbean island tours and they made sure we were back to the ship on time. Sorry that’s all we can give you, hope it helps

Hello yes we pre booked our tours to st. Maarten (celebrity beyond cruise the week before) st. Kitts and Martinique through Caribbean Island Tours on Facebook. They were all brilliant, the guides/drivers were fab and there was lots of rum included. 👍🏻

They do two week round trip Barbados cruises and 2 week round trip Antigua cruises but also sell 1 week cruises too, for those doing just a week you can join the ship at either Antigua or Barbados 😉

When you flew did you go into the airport or straight onto a bus to the ship? I ask because P&O say you have to go through the airport get your luggage and then to a bus to the ship. What was your experience? We aew doing the same flight on the 11th of March. I can't wait to see what you show next from Arvia.

For us, we had a chartered flight from heathrow with virgin both flights (round trip) Going out we checked in and dropped out cases off, flew over, got a bus straight from the plane to the ship where we checked in and boarded, our cases arrived outside our cabin a bit after that- totally magic! Coming home we put our cases out the night before our flight like normal, had to leave our cabin at 9am (but we had a day room from 10-3) We met at the theatre for 4pm where we then disembarked got straight onto a bus and then got dropped off at the airport. After waiting in a 40min queue we went through security and chilled out for about an hour before boarding the plane and flying home. Once we landed at London it was just like a normal flight, passport control etc and then we picked our classes up. Hope this helps! 👍🏻

Love it but sad to see you participated with the monkeys at st kitts. I work with with animals and keep a few rare species myself (mainly reptiles). Tourists see those little 'monkeys' as cute, the sad reality is that they are injected to calm them and treated terribly. The sooner tourists stop paying attention, the quicker they will stop hurting these animals.

That’s such a shame! The monkeys we saw at monkey island were really well looked after, controlled sessions etc plenty of breaks and the guy was really good with them. That was at Taino bay dom rep. Can’t say the same about st Kitts. Wouldn’t do it again now we know. 🥲
