Wow what a marvelous set of dramatic changes in this school. I was in P.S 107 from 1999-2003. I actually had Ms Aronson (now Mrs Jacofsky) who was teaching 6th grade back then when i had her. I always said this school is incredible. There's nothing quite like experiencing P.S 107 as a student. Everyday was so much fun. Especially when preparing for Music in the Air. The teachers are wonderful. I'm finishing up my last yr of college this winter and with a family of my own now. Thinking ahead of what's best for my daughter is important. However without a slight doubt my daughter will definitely be attending P.S 107 for Pre-K here soon. It's like seeing myself as a little girl attending again this school. It's beyond amazing!! last notes: Mrs. Jacofsky- To explain why no one in my class gave you a gift for christmas of 2002. was because you didn't let us have fun for halloween in Mrs. Foley's classroom that year. lol. I'll never forget that because You and Ms. Holly (your BFF) was gossiping about it outside the classroom that same day before winter break. So um in other words it was a pact our class made for your "karma". However on a nicer note.. You seem to have brightened up quite nicely through the years. Maybe teaching 3rd grade has made you nicer. :) Oh yeah... you look GREATTTTTTTTT without HICKIES on your neck!!!!!!!! Because honestly scarfs in June were just not a good look for you. ;) lol
Jennifer Montalvo Ms. Holly is married now. Her name is Mrs. Gimiglano and she's the dance troupe teacher, she used to teach my 3rd grade....and I had Mrs. Foley as my 4th grade IGC teacher
I went their in the 80s I loved it. I had Mrs.garafalo I think that's how you spell it Mrs.Dixon omg I can't remember anymore dam. I lived doing music in the air!
Um it wasnt a mrs it was a ms "mrs garafolo" is mrs.foley she was my igc teacher last year her husband pasted away and was very sick and she didnt come in for 4 months
I remember them filming this video back when it was happening, so hard to believe it was 14 years ago. Went here from 2004-2011 and moved away after 5th grade. I think of so many of my childhood friends here so often, if any of you find your way to this comment I hope you’ve been doing great!
I cannot believe the change! I graduated as the last 6th grade class and im amazed to see all that has happened in just a few short years. This school will continue to grow and make such an impact on the lives of children for many decades to come I am sure of it. Watching this video brought tears to my eyes as I relived memories of my teachers who havnt changed a bit! The new auditorium looks beautiful and I hope to see everyone again soon at the most memorable event of the year:MUSIC IN THE AI
I only went here for the last four years, but they really helped me open up. Performing in Music in The Air was always a highlight for all of us. My sister just graduated this year and I think I was as equally upset as she was. Mr.Phair's last year to which is extremely hard to believe. Congrats on retiring but all these future students will be missing out on a pretty amazing Principal. Class of 2005:) Proud graduate who just finished my first year of college!
I went to PS 107 from kindergarten to 6th grade (1952 to 1959) and lived about 7 blocks away. It is fantastic to see that the school is doing better than ever. Wonderful video.
This place set a foundation for me that continues to be relevant in my life till this day. I was part of the IGC program back in the day. So good to see music in the air is still; a thing. At the risk of sounding "mad corny (as we would say in Queens) I truly love this place with all my heart!!
If you find yourself revisiting this video because you use to go here, post a comment and stick around :p. You might meet an old friend or classmate you’ve haven’t chatted with in a while. Replies also give RU-vid notifications :)
She retired last year. I was in her last class. Another teacher named ms Chan took over. She retired while teaching for 4th grade. Me and my class put a cute little show for her leaving and she cried. I think her son or nephew idk came and handed her a balloon. We kept the show a secret and we could only practice it at science class with ms lombardo and home.
yhese were my teachers: mrs kubic, mrs ring, mrs lyman, mrs kaufman(best teacher eva) mrs dixon mrs foley. and mrs medveser i love all my teachers espessialy.all the cluster teachers esspecialy mrs lombardo
my dauther comes to this school and when she comes home she talks about how great her day is n sschool she justs loves PS107 it is like her second home
This was the best school that i have ever went to and if any parents are here at the video comments this school is the best and your child will be happy in this school. the teachers are very nice and there are many great kids here. if it wasn't for this school i wouldn't be in 8th grade now. so parents send your child to this school and your child will love it and you the parents will love it.
That playground dumping video should be shown in this promo video .Come to our Playground where we dump fresh chemicals daily in the back of the school if you think its fake news type in ps107Q dirty water dumping
I think I went there from 2003-2007 back when Kessler was a coach , then I moved to fl :/ , I gotta admit , ps 107 was great . Would like to visit that school again one day .
Class of 2015, I will say my time here wasn’t that fantastic. Looking back I remember a lot of racism towards the Asians when I was here. I remember there was this one girl who came during the 4th? Or 5th grade who was very shy . She was Chinese and she spoke English but was just a shy person , I remember when I was going to the bathroom a teacher (I forgot her name ) who took this girl out into the hallway and was like “when I ask you a question you need to answer, do you not understand English or something?” Even as a 9 year old I felt that and I was just a bystander. Anyway ivy if ur reading this , hiiiii .
