Your video is great! More info than most, thank you! I went ahead and bought (3) the vent canister solenoid, evap carbon canister and a little part that goes on the engine to just cover it all. 2008 Hummer h2 with same code you have and a "heavy gas smell". I'm pretty handy with basic parts but hey if you can do all this with one hand I think I can do it with two, lol. This is great what you've done for all of us!

Good idea! Most of these videos are quick & dirty; grab the GoPro as an afterthought. But it wouldn't be that hard to get a decent LED light down there. I'll get something in my garage so that it will be handy next time the opportunity arises!

I have the save issue on my h3 now. Where I live we don't test emissions. Thanks for the cheap trick of fooling the cpu. Maybe I'll just do that. I probably won't but maybe.
