These two codes scream air leak. On my C160 the serpentine belt tensioner gave in and ran the belt into the plastic plenum/ cross pipe from the charger. Cut a hole through it. Effectively a boost pipe leak. Don't change oxygen sensors until you check for leaks.
My Zurich scanner says this is p0172 mixture [201c-001] is too rich in the part load ... Selfadaptation of mixture formation 🤔 as stored code, following the p0171 code 50 miles earlier. I know I have a slit like tear in the EGR hose he removed but since Sept. post smog car (03, c230k) was running fine, no codes or CE lite. I must also replace the 1st injector after replacing the fuel filter last week. I replaced the coil pak and plugs (4 ea.). And I will clean again the MAF sensor again after replacing the air filter 40 days ago. Smog check guy who is also a mechanic says I do not need upstream or downstream oxy sensors, cat is fine. I think for having bought this 18 year old Benz coupe of mine, much of what I have replaced is normal so some things I can do myself, others I let my Mexican mechanic do, other things need the left and speciality Benz shop to diagnose and repair.
Any idea as to what that spray is called I think it says silicone on the can but would like to check that there is a cut in the hose before i start taking it all apart.

This is a capable mechanic. This hose cost about SGD10. Job done in less than 1 hour. Two tumbs up. But could not find location of mesing 2005 in goggle map. 🤔
